The house has all the facilities for 4/6 persons

Villa Candida is located in the upper side of the beautiful Santa Caterina (called “LE CENATE”), a small fishing village in the centre of Salento, a region that has become famous in recent years for the beauty of the seaside and beaches that resemble the caribbean ones and the goodness of seafood and natural products. You can reach the centre of Santa Caterina and the seaside in a few minutes either by walking down the stairs running through the nearby pine forest called Picciarella, or by cycling or by driving.
Santa Caterina has all the amenities, including bars where you can have breakfast with the famous “pasticciotti” filled with cream and the croissant filled with cream or nutella and cream, or have very nice appetizers by the sunset. There a couple of restaurants/pizzerias and typical small shops where you can enjoy the tasty “calzone”, “panzerotto” and “rustico”. Santa Caterina is very close to Santa Maria al Bagno (either walking about 20-25 mins or driving 5 min along the coast), where you will enjoy one of the best restaurants in the area (La Pergola) and amazing aperitives with the perfect view on the sea. Driving over Santa Maria al Bagno you will reach beautiful beaches where you can either bring your own stuff or you can rent beach chairs/beds and umbrellasa. At about 1 km from Santa Caterina, by walking down through a thick pine forest surrounded by the scent of pine trees and sea, you will reach a charming and picturesque little bay in a natural scenery, known as National Park “Porto Selvaggio” (wild port).
Salento is a magic land rich of natural beauty, art, history and..lot of good wine, food and much more.
If you drive a few miles from Villa Candida you can visit Gallipoli (going to the south) or Porto Cesareo (going to the north), and about 25-30 mins away you can reach Lecce, a fascinating baroque city in the heart of Salento, definitely a must see!
Other very nice places to visit (although more distant), are Otranto, Santa Cesarea Terme, Santa Maria di Leuca, which can be reached by driving on a breathtaking road along the Ionian Sea, and when you reach Santa Maria di Leuca, you will notice an Italian flag where the Adriatic and the Ionian seas meet and mingle.
And do not forget the local food and wine festivals, where you will enjoy the famous folklore and flavors of Salento as well as the typical Taranta dance that will involve you with its rich rhythm able to fill the evening air.
And then, also....

The Salento peninsula washed by the Adriatic and Ionian Sea, is among the most popular tourist destinations, for its two seas, the ancient culture, art with its unique baroque, food and wine, nature and the hospitality of its inhabitants.
It 'a wonderful land, rich in ancient history, as evidenced by the dolmens, menhirs, stone walls, specchie and pajare. The landscape has remained intact over the centuries and tells the story of this land.
Each town of Salento is a rare jewel with its historic old towns, the houses that overlook in small courts, the fragrant smells of the streets of ancient tradition .. And then the imposing coastal towers for defense against the Saracens, palaces noble, baroque churches that characterize this beautiful corner of the world.
A summer feature of Salento are its festivals.
When summer comes the Salento you turn to music and dance, and all are carried away by happiness atmosphere: it's time to festivals!
Every night a different festival in a different village; some have become well-known at national level, but all offer the opportunity to taste typical dishes and enjoy an evening of music and dancing very little money. Many appreciate this type of event, because they love to be in close contact with a place, with its people and its traditions, such as dances punctuated by thumping music like Taranta. The ancient sounds and the home cooking make the festivals an unmissable opportunity!
And finally the great wine!
