We had a very great time in this appartment in Cagliari. Its very (URL HIDDEN) you can be very fast by food,. in any direction. With my son that was (URL HIDDEN) we can always make little brakes at home..after walking around in this beautiful city! In the appartment there was everything you need. From coffee,.towel,.tee, coffe,.over shampoo,.suncream..everything! We loved this appartment and we would come again anytime! Thankyou! :)
The apartment was in a great location, within walking distance of cafes, a decent market, and the train/bus station. Free WiFi and use of a Nepresso machine were definite perks. The building itself was nice and felt safe, though it was a bit loud whenever residents were coming and going or using the elevator. If you're a light sleeper, this may be problematic, but we managed fine. One thing we wish we had known before booking -- it's impossible to tell in the listing that the apartment doesn't actually have a view of the city. While the building receives a good deal of light, both windows (living space and kitchen) look into the windows of other apartments, not out into the city. If you're a person who wants a view, you may want to consider other options. A few things to improve: The right side of the bed has several missing slats, and those that exist are impossible to move. This made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience for our six nights, as my back had little support. It was a shame, as the mattress itself seemed relatively comfortable. Our check-in experience was a bit stressful, as our flight was delayed and we were not told the exact building address before arrival (there are several residential buildings along Piazza Martiri). We are from the United States, so we can't use our phones internationally. We missed our arranged meeting time from a delayed flight and delayed luggage, and we had no way to know which building housed our apartment. Fortunately, a very friendly local allowed us to borrow her phone to call Matilde. We found Matilde's mother (who assisted us with check-in) to be quite pleasant once she arrived to let us in and provide keys. The apartment overall was clean, though the floor was a bit dirty (socks quickly picked up a great deal of dark dust) and the blanket at the end of the bed did not appear washed. Also, several amenities (dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels) were nearly empty. Given that we had booked the apartment for six nights, I would have appreciated if these were refilled. We ended up buying laundry soap and paper towels for the apartment and leaving them behind for the next guests. Overall, the apartment was certainly affordable and in a great location, but the experience could be improved in the above ways.
