This apartment is very centrally located - only a 5 minute walk to Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations and the Eurostar train services, 3 minutes to Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts London. The apartment has been furnished and appointed specifically with airbnb guests in mind - no clutter belonging to the owner, so if you are looking for a boutique hotel but wanting to self cater, then this is the place for you! It is a very quiet location despite being in the heart of Kings Cross - a gem in the urban jungle.
The entire apartment is available for use by guests as is the communal courtyard below where benches are located by the small garden and fountains. Guests can also sit by the waterside of Battlebridge Basin on the Regent's Canal in a shared privately accessed space which is a real sun trap on sunny summer afternoons.

The host lives just round the corner and will be available to show guests around, settle them in and answer any questions they may have. The host will gladly meet guests out of normal hours for settling them in on arrival.
If the guest has a car they can park in the street outside, however they will need to arrange a parking permit with the London Borough of Islington or if for a short duration one can buy all day parking permits on-line at a cost of £13.40 a day. The host will assist with this if required as these permits must be purchased by a local resident.
The apartment is a no smoking property but guests can smoke in the communal courtyard downstairs provided they dispose of their cigarette ends and leave things tidy for other users. Smoking is not allowed immediately outside the apartment as this causes frustration to neighbours with the smoke wafting into their apartments. The development is very peaceful and guests are asked to respect all residents and not cause disturbance to others. No pets are allowed. Any guest arriving by car is responsible for arranging their own parking. If arriving with bikes, these can be brought into the apartment provided this is done carefully so as not to mark the walls or damage furnishings. There is no outdoor bike storage available. Please note you will need to carry your bikes up to the first floor via an external metal staircase to access to the apartment. But the most important house rule is to enjoy the space and feel at home!
I am very much a people person and really enjoy getting to know people from all corners of the globe. Something of a traveller myself (lived in Jamaica, South Africa, USA, Spain and the UK), I really enjoy welcoming people from around the world into my delightful warehouse apartment. I have furnished it with the traveller in mind - light and uncluttered but with all the comforts you will need. I live around the corner so am very happy to welcome you out of hours if you are arriving early or late and will show you around and make sure you settle in happily. I have lived in Kings Cross for over 20 years and am very much an active local, having fund raised and secured the planting of nearly all the street trees in the area in order to green a once gritty part of town. Now we have avenues of trees, abundant bird life and a changed environment in the heart of London. It's a great place to stay and I have loved being part of the areas transformation over the years.
