Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that I forgot to tell Ron about the problem with the Queen Bed Room before I left the country. The house is very old, and the foundation below the Queen Room is settling, leaving a gap along the floor of that room. There is no way to access the space below the room, as it's only about 6 inches. There doesn't seem to be a problem with bugs or any vermin, so apparently it's a closed system. However, something appears to have decomposed under there, and there is nothing I can do to get rid of whatever it is or its smell. So there is a scented candle in the room, in a fireproof container, so one can light it to freshen up the air. This works very well, and I ALWAYS invite my guests to light the candle when needful. The other thing that works is to leave the doors open, so there is always airflow through the Queen Bed Room. I know that not everyone feels comfortable leaving their doors open, and you need to do what works for you. So I apologize for my oversight. Having read your review, I wrote a long message to Ron, telling him what I neglected to tell him when I left. Please don't blame my poor chickens, as their smell is not the one in the Queen Bed Room. I don't know that an air purifier would help, but I will certainly look into it when I return to Denver.
