Connecticut shore vintage cottage with ocean views, sun porch, knotty-pine great room, and winterized for year-round living. Historic seashore style with vintage cottage details and modern updates. 50-yard walk to private or town beach. Close to eight area colleges.
Minimum age of 30 for renters.
Please read the "House Manual" you can access upon acceptance of your reservation.
By CT state law, no parked cars, standing vehicles, or furniture allowed in the shared right-of-way between cottages. The right-of-way is for walking or passing through.
Please minimize toilet flushing and flush only septic-safe toilet paper--the shoreline cottages use small septic systems. All other waste into the trash. Thanks for being careful!
Park only in FRONT of the cottage.
Lock cottage when you leave it empty.
Please do not go into the attic or into the three porch closets.
The clothesline is for wet clothes; please do not leave wet clothes in the cottage.
Please close the porch windows during rain storms.
No smoking anywhere in the cottage.
Pets are not allowed (but they have lived in the cottage in the past).
Be gentle with the vintage wood & string window shades!
Please bag all trash and rinse recyclables to avoid pests. Be sure outside barrel lids are closed.
Please wash and dry all dishes & kitchenware before leaving at the end of your stay.
Do not leave any food & drink in the refrigerator or cabinets when you end your visit--other guests bring their own or the cottage is empty, so it just spoils.
When you depart, please leave the cottage exactly as you found it--return all moved furniture and items to their original locations.

I am a New England woman who wandered and traveled--returning to Massachusetts after my adventures. My dogs come with me wherever they can go. I gotta have some green tea in the morning and gardening in the summer.
I teach college history with an interest in global dynamics and the intersections of culture and economics. I have also taught at public high schools, youth programs, and adult basic education organizations. I write as creatively as possible.
My favorite children's book: "Frederick" by Leo Lionni.
