Small in size but big in contemporary comfort, this suite sits on the top floor of a newly renovated industrial three-storey complex in the heart of West Toronto. Clean design-savvy minimalism meets cozy convenience and accessibility.
This space is small in size but big in contemporary comfort. On the top floor of a newly renovated three-storey complex (that, rumour has it, was once home to a Brazilian dance club) this suite boasts a warm industrial vibe that complements the unique facade and angular lines of the building. The decor celebrates a love for local artists and clean rustic-modern minimalism. Creamy white walls, polished resin floors, new cabinetry and large west-facing windows promise a pleasant experience from early morning to the wee hours of the night.
With enough space for the quiet moments, or happy times to share with a partner or friend, enjoy a book, catch-up online with the free WiFi, or cook breakfast in your underwear while listening to the CBC. The 22" iMac desktop works splendidly as an entertainment system, with quality viewing and fully equipped speakers for great sound. The table seats four and is at its best dripping in candlelight with a good meal and a glass of wine.
The bedroom has one plushly padded double bed that perfectly sleeps two, while a comfortable pullout sofa bed in the living room can accommodate a third. But ideally, this space is best for one or two people at a time.
Kitchen includes plenty of dishes, pots n' pans, as well as access to spices and oils for cooking. The bathroom includes a blissfully deep bathtub and shower with good pressure! Closet space with hangers can be provided as well as a full drawer for extra storage.
This suite is sure to be a cool, convenient and memorable home away from home.
Guests will have access to the front door, their apartment door and the laundry room.

If I am not available to exchange the key with you, guests will be required to pick up the key from my neighbour's mailbox around the corner. My neighbours are a very lovely and helpful couple with a vast knowledge of the apartment and the city. Aside from key exchange, you will have privacy and a very reliable source for help if you need it! I can be available for assistance through email and text messaging.
The street itself is not loud but the apartment is just off Bloor Street, which is busy. This can be fun for some guests, but not so fun for others. If you want a super quiet home in a peaceful neighbourhood, this place might have a bit too much "action" going on. However, it is a vibrant community that is mostly mellow come nightfall and if you close the windows at night the street sounds are almost entirely blocked off.
BUT, because the apartment is on a subway line, you can hear the subway. It is a low rumble from below that sounds a bit like far-off thunder. Some people find it soothing and/or exhilarating, while others might find it irritating. This is completely subjective and should be considered if you find yourself super sensitive to sound, however it is not really "noise" by any stretch and likely not loud enough to painfully bother someone or deprive them of sleep.
Guests must be clean and respectful of the apartment and building (obviously). Music and entertaining are fine within reason - preferably only on weekends and at a tolerable volume. Nothing too crazy, but chilling, laughing and mellow tunes are more than fine when conducted by mature adults. Just be mindful of neighbours, as they can hear you when they're in the hall.
