Danijela was a nice and accommodating host. The apartment is as described and has a wonderful view over the bay between Ciovo and the mainland. It was very clean and we found everything we needed. Danijela even provided large towels and a hair dryer on request, as we accidentally expected this to be in the apartment. We had a good time and in particular Ciovo is a nice place to be (we had been here before). However, we do not consider the apartment to be particularly quiet. It is located in an area where a lot of people (mainly Croatian and not tourists) life close together in a comparatively small area (a bunch of residential blocks). Consequently you have cars and scooters coming and going at the back side of the flat (where the bedroom is located) almost 24h a day. In addition, Split airport is located exactly at the opposite bay side, so depending on wind direction you don't only see airplanes (and helicopters from the associated military facility) starting and landing all day long but also hear it quiet clear. All in all we had a good time. You will need a car (there is a dedicated parking spot) to discover the particularly nice parts, beaches and bays on Ciovo, as the beach close to the flat is very small and directly located at the main street. So make sure you don't miss all the beautiful and cozy spots on Ciovo!
Everything was as described. Beautiful view from apartment. Apartment is spacious, cozy and clean . Around 5 minutes to the nice beach (you have walk some stairs to reach the beach), and around 20-30 minutes walk to Trogir (very beautiful town). There is also a small shop as well as bakery and few restaurants in walking distance. Neighborhood is mostly populated by Croatians so you will not be exposed to crowd there. I can definitely recommend this apartment !
Danijela was a good host and the apartment is the same as described in the website. Very clean, cosy, just painted walls and quite new in general. Stunning view to the sea and a very friendly and quiet neighbourhood. Nice children around and family atmosphere, mostly Croatian. Our daughter had a nice time playing with the girls around. The apartment is close to the very beautiful Trogir town (UNESCO Heritage Site, smaller than Dubrovnik but really charming) and to small beaches around the island of Ciovo (Okrug, Duga Uvala, Slatine Kava Beach, etc.) but we highly recommend a private car to move around, like to go shopping to the Tommy Supermarket or the beaches and plan visits to other must-see attractions like Krka N.P., Primosten, Klis castle, Sibenik, Zadar, Split... Be aware that in high season there's a lot of traffic jam to cross Trogir old town to/from Ciovo Island (this August it took us up to 1 hour and 30 minutes (!) to cover that 2.5 km distance and cross de Trogir's bridge by car!) but they said this summer was unsually busy... Alternatively, you can easily get a boat ride from Slatine (a near village) to Trogir or even Split, very useful to avoid the cars and get directly into the Diocletian Palace. Or you can wait until they finish the new bridge that will solve this problem! On the other hand, avoiding Trogir's queues we found out a quiet road to cross Ciovo island to the south through Zebdo, a way to easily reach the touristic Okrug Gornji, from where you can explore the quiet nearby beaches or go on a boat day trip to other islands (Solta Island, Blue Lagoon at Drvenik Veli Island, Brac, Hvar, among others). Plenty of offers at the port! We had great time at Danijela's apartment. Thanks!!
