Villa Bellevue provides a tranquil retreat located in the small town of L’Escale in the Haute-Provence/Southern Alps area of France. This beautiful and spacious apartment has its own private entrance, free parking, and plenty of room to comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family. When I arrived, I was greeted by Roland and Emilie, who gave me a very thorough tour, showed me where everything was, and how all the appliances worked. Bottles of wine, juice, and cold water were waiting for me in the refrigerator. Before leaving, Roland and Emilie provided their phone numbers in case I needed to get in touch. The highlight of my stay was sitting on the terrace, where you can enjoy the sunshine, lovely breezes, and a beautiful view (plus amazing star gazing at night)! L’Escale is a great, central location for exploring this beautiful part of France, which can be best enjoyed if you have a rental car.
On a personal note, I experienced a family emergency during my stay at Villa Bellevue. I can’t say enough about how Roland and his family went out of their way to assist and support me in so many ways during what was a very difficult time. They checked on me in person at least twice a day, called and texted me frequently, drove me to the places I needed to go, invited me to their homes for dinner, and expressed genuine love and concern. Villa Bellevue also features very good internet service, which made it possible for me to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) with my family back in the US. Roland and his family repeatedly emphasized that, if I needed to, I could extend my stay at Villa Bellevue for additional days at no extra cost. I felt truly blessed to have their support.
