In addition to the beautiful beaches of Putsborough, Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde which are all a short drive away, if you're looking to explore the North Devon area, this is the place to stay. You have Ilfracombe nearby, with Damian Hirst's restaurant and acclaimed 'Verity', a short drive and you're on Exmoor, Lynton and Lynmouth, Porlock and Porlock Weir are well worth a visit, I'm always happy to suggest or advise on places to go to locally.
Please note - Our minimum stay is two nights.
Welcome pack- Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper, tea towels, cloth.
Bathroom- Soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath and shower gel and one toilet roll.
And a few surprises.
This is a non smoking property.
Andy and I moved to this lovely corner of North Devon twelve months ago from the bustling surfing village of Croyde and decided to convert The Lodge, situated next to our woodland, into a luxurious, romantic holiday home for couples, we love it and hope you will too!
If you're down to surf or are just learning, my husband Andy is Second Skin's owner. Andy caught his first wave at the age of 10 in 1959. He started surfing seriously in 1968 and was one of the early members of the North East West surf club. In the early 70's Andy dropped out of college and moved from Liverpool to Croyde to live in a VW van, working in the Summer, driving down to Morocco for the Winter...
In 1975 Second Skin was established to produce made to measure surfing suits pioneering the minimum five panel design with different thickness areas i.e Thicker body and legs for warmth, thinner shoulders and sleeves for freedom. Another first in 1980 was the C-Seal, an internal panel that sealed the zip opening to reduce water seepage into the suit. Both of these concepts are now Industry standard throughout the world.
