I am happy to offer suggestions for wine & dine options and local attractions if you ask.
There are many brochures, a restaurant menu binder, local guide books, maps, and a house manual in the studio for your perusal.
There is no need to "check-in" with us to retrieve the key as there is a lock box for the key if the studio is locked. If we are home, the studio door will be unlocked for you to let yourself in. If I am available, I will greet you for a quick orientation, or you can come up to meet me if you wish. Otherwise, enjoy your privacy!

We welcome ALL respectful guests here! No matter what gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
This home has a short but STEEP driveway to walk up & down from the street parking to the studio entrance. The bathroom is eleven steps upstairs from inside the studio. If you are physically challenged, elderly, or have trouble walking up & down stairs or hills, this may not be the place for you.
This home is surrounded by seven very tall beautiful Redwoods, and some Douglas Fir and Oak trees. Although they are very lovely, they do block some sunlight from coming into the windows of the studio (especially during winter). However, during sunny days they keep us cool and there is plenty of sunlight outside on the surrounding patio and pool area!
THIS LISTING IS NOT FOR THE ENTIRE HOUSE. It is for the separate studio apartment which is on the lower floor of the house - as pictured.

I am a California native, born in San Francisco. When not hosting my Airbnb, I can be found kayaking on one of the many lakes in California, hiking a nearby trail through the redwoods, visiting my sister in Italy, traveling through Europe, wine tasting, or visiting vineyards. I also work part-time at a local winery. I have been an Airbnb host since June 2015. I have worked in Silicon Valley and the music industry in the past and most recently worked in the Santa Cruz Mountains wine industry as a marketing manager for 10 years. I've lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains with my husband and daughter (she has recently moved out) for the past 14 years. I also have a son who lives nearby with his family.
I really enjoy being an Airbnb host, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I love to cook, hike, kayak, travel, watch movies, go wine tasting and listen to live music.
My favorite travel destination is Italy. I travel there frequently and it just happens to be where my sister lives in Taormina! I love Hawaii (we got married in Hana, Maui), Paris, London, Edinburgh, all of Europe and of course California!
I have a relaxed hosting style and love to make sure my guests feel at home and comfortable. I follow guests cue as to the amount of contact they wish to have. If you want your privacy you have it, if you wish to have a conversation and learn about the area... I am here for you.
One of my favorite mottos:
“Cultivate an optimistic mind, use your imagination, always consider alternatives, and dare to believe that you can make possible what others think is impossible.”
