We had the most beautiful stay at Christina's villa. The details, grounds, and decorations are even more lovely in person. You can feel the pride her family takes in the upkeep of the villa, and you can feel the family memories that have occurred on those beautiful grounds, making it that much more special that they have opened their home's doors to traveling guests. The drive to her villa is filled with postcard views of Tuscany, and when you arrive at the villa, you truly feel like you are coming home.
We were incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to experience Christina's cooking in person--she has such talent in the kitchen--the flavors and the love that she has for Italian culture is evident in how she cooks, and it gave us a great opportunity to personally get to know her.
Christina truly listens to her guests and their desires--although our stay was short, we wanted to accomplish a lot in a short time. She was able to bring truth and realism to what we hoped for in our itinerary, and provide incredible recommendations of local wineries, coffee shops, wine bars, and restaurants to explore. We loved every single one of her recommendations!
This was my first trip ever to Italy, and my husband's and my first time ever in Tuscany. Without a doubt, our stay at Christina's villa was the highlight, so much so that we had considered skipping the remaining of our Italy trip to stay countryside. You wake up to beautiful views, and you can soak in sunsets with the beautiful views. You are a short drive away from their town where you can pick up a morning cappuccino. You are also a short drive from nearby villages, wineries, and beautiful places to explore. We could have easily spent a few days just getting "lost" in Tuscany, because it just seemed there were hidden gems around the corner and we loved going on a treasure hunt!
We truly felt honored and blessed to have found Christina and her family's villa. Though it was just my husband and I on this trip, her home could have easily accommodated many more of our friends. More than just her beautiful home, we feel lucky to have met Christina. She is a kind and generous soul, someone who makes us laugh and someone who understood us a couple and as individuals. We were lucky enough to have had the opportunity to spend time with her more than once during our trip, and getting to meet her Mom, Elena, upon check-out. We loved both of them so much, and truly felt like part of their family. When you have hostesses like Christina and her Mom, it elevates your experience. Grazie, Grazie, Grazie, Christina!!! Thank you for a beautiful first stay and visit to Tuscany!!!
