Our beautiful lake house was completed in 2007 by an Adirondack master builder. We love to share our house with responsible groups throughout the year when the house is available. During the Summer we rent the house from Saturday to Saturday.

Relax and enjoy our custom built lakefront home on the north end of Lake George. The house is located in a quiet no-wake zone so there is very little boat traffic around the house. Bring your boat or rent from the local marina and enjoy the Queen of America's lake!

Dostupno gostima

Access to beautiful Lake George, all 32 miles of pristine crystal-clear water. Enjoy fishing off the dock or in our canoes and catch bass, pike, pickerel and perch.

Hello! Thank you for visiting Mystic Lodge, aka Serenity Now. We hope that you have a wonderful time and enjoy the house and Lake George as much as we do. Here are a few of our favorite things to do here in Ticonderoga (aka “Ti”), as well as some needed mainstays:

(If you need to rent a boat or if you would like to make dinner reservations, you may want to take the time to handle those details asap, so you get your first choice.)

If you are planning to rent a boat check out: (URL HIDDEN) (make sure you rent from their Northern location in Ti (there is also a Southern Location)). A Pontoon is a good idea for families (also good if you want to take along your dog(s)). The Deck boat is similar to the Pontoon but it is a bit sportier and allows for tubing & water skiing. Of course there are also regular powerboats. When you call to reserve your boat, communicate the number of people that will be onboard and what you would like to do, and ask for their advice on what boat you should rent.

Walmart: (1134 Wicker St. – 5 minute drive) It is open 24/7 and is very convenient. It is the only area grocery store. Get your s’mores supplies!

Keith’s Meat Market: This is the place to go locally for your meats and fish. We typically pick up our steaks, ribs, chicken, etc. here for BBQs. They also have great sandwiches, which you may want to pick up or order ahead of time for your boat or hiking trips.

Nadeus Farm Market: Located between the Golf Course and The Windchill, check them out for fresh fruit & vegetables (seasonal).

The Windchill Factory Great spot for ice cream and food. We love their chicken cheese steaks and curly fries w. cheese! The food takes a bit, so if you are in a rush, or starving, call ahead! (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Eddie’s Restaurant (68 NYS Route (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) we find ourselves here quite a bit. The owners, David & Beth Iuliano, are there every night and are very hospitable. Whether you enjoy a cocktail at the bar, or sit down for dinner, the Italian food & drinks consistently hit the spot. It is a warm, cozy atmosphere. During the peak season, even with a reservation, there may be a wait.

Martucci’s at the Northern Lake George Resort A wonderful historic restaurant just south of Silver Bay. They have plenty of dock space so make a reservation and take your boat down to a relaxing dinner overlooking the lake.

Firehouse Very cozy and more upscale full service restaurant serving Continental cuisine in Hague (about a 15 minute drive) (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Ye Olde Fort View Inn -- Dinner and bar fare with great specials, great Chicken Wings! (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Emeralds Restaurant (at Golf Course): This is the restaurant & bar located at the golf course. Beautiful views!

If you aren’t up to cooking your own breakfast, head to Burleigh’s Luncheonette in downtown Ti on Montcalm Street. The décor (& prices) are reminiscent of a 50’s Diner.

The Hot Biscuit Diner also has good breakfasts, Wagon Wheel is right in town for lunch / dinner and Sentinel Grille has a friendly staff and is decent for seafood.

Our lifelong friend Gary Tromblee opened a new restaurant on June 8th 2013 at Schroon Lake, which is about a 20-30 minute drive from the house. The name is Sticks and Stones Wood Fired Bistro and Bar. If you get a chance give it a try and tell Gary that Pete and Ron sent you!

There are two canoes and a kayak by the dock at the house (life vests are inside the chest by the TV, Oars are hanging by the back door). It is amazing how much more wildlife you see in a quiet canoe versus a boat. Besides taking trips in Lake George, we love to take canoe rides (you will need a truck to transport the canoe) from the base of the waterfalls at Bicentennial Park along the LaChute River to the banks of Fort Ticonderoga: (URL HIDDEN) Keep your eyes out for Eagles and bring your fishing poles!

Boating: There are hundreds of islands and places to explore on Lake George. Anthony's Nose on the East, Roger's Rock on the West, etc. It is always nice to pull up to Roger's Rock and watch the rock climbers, then moor the boat around the corner and go for a swim. It isn't too deep and there is a nice sandy bottom.
Check this website out (a guide for kayaking, fishing, etc.):
(URL HIDDEN) If you would like to head to a restaurant by boat check out: (URL HIDDEN)

Fishing: The fishing poles on the wall are for decoration only! You can get a daily, weekly or seasonal fishing permit at Walmart. 16 or under you fish free and there are separate fees for out of state residents: (URL HIDDEN)

Ti Public Beach: A great beach for the spectacular views, swimming, and letting your kids run wild. The soft sand, playground, life guards and free to borrow sand toys (found in the ladies restroom area) make it a great spot to relax all day.

Museums & Fort Ticonderoga: Check out the Ti Chamber of Commerce website for information on the various museums in Ti and historic Fort Ticonderoga: (URL HIDDEN) Under the Recreation heading there is also great information for biking and hiking.

The Hacker Boat Company workshop is a hidden treasure right in downtown Ti on Montcalm Street. You would never know the number of beautiful wooden boats being refurbished behind the quiet storefront. Head around to the back and let yourself in. Ask for the manager. He loves to give tours of the facility! They might be moving their facility in Summer 2013 so call ahead.

Gunnison Lakeshore Orchard: (Crown Point, NY (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) Located on the North side of Crown Point, this is a great country store that sells North Country knick knacks and fresh cider donuts, pies and fudge. The bakery is onsite and does a fantastic job.

Sugar-N-Spice: A perfect country gift shop in town on Montcalm Street. The owner has a great eye and we always find unique gifts here. A business card with a 10% discount can be found in the black binder book at the house.

Vermont: There are many area attractions and vineyards in Vermont such as:
Shelbourne Vineyard: (URL HIDDEN) . Middlebury is a great town to walk around, shop and grab lunch (about a 45 minute drive).

Ticonderoga Ferry – Bring your bike and explore Vermont or just enjoy a picturesque ferry ride: (URL HIDDEN)

Golf -- Ticonderoga Country Club, USGA Course & Slope Ratings: White – 69.9/116; Gold – 69.0/114; Red – 67.0/108

The Sagamore – A wonderful historic golf course in Bolton Landing. Built in 1928 this is a very challenging course with beautiful views overlooking Lake George. (About a 25-minute drive)

Tennis: Pick up the key at police station if the courts are locked (and you don’t want to crawl underneath the fence!). Directions to police station and tennis courts are at the house.

Bowling: Adirondack Lanes on Hague Road ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Hiking and Biking Suggestions: Hike Mount Defiance with your dogs. Bring a camera and water! There are picnic tables at the summit if you would like to bring your lunch. The hike is a paved road, so you can drive to the summit if you prefer – just watch for hikers! (URL HIDDEN)

There are too many hikes to mention here (Lost Pond, Cook Mountain, Tongue Mountain) – most are outlined in the local area-hiking book at the house. The Ticonderoga Chamber of Commerce website outlines hiking and biking trails as well: (URL HIDDEN) The Ti Chamber of Commerce is a good general resource for you to contact for suggestions not listed here.

Great Escape (Exit 20 off Northway): (URL HIDDEN)

Southern Lake George: Countless tourist shops and restaurants. You could drive (about 45 minutes) or take your boat the length of the lake.

Adirondack Extreme: (Exit 24 off Northway) (URL HIDDEN) --Zip lines and adventure for the adrenaline junkies – A true aerial tree top adventure!

We make our own fun at home, and are typically exhausted from daytime adventures, but if your prefer to venture out for a cocktail, we hear late night at Adam’s Rib gets going...maybe a bit too much. There are also bars at the local area restaurants.

There is an extensive movie collection (90+) at the house. If you don’t see anything you like at the house, there is a Video King rental store in town on Montcalm Street. (We think it is still there)

The Ticonderoga Festival Guild hosts many events (i.e. Tuesday nights in the summer there is music at Bicentennial Park) and a pamphlet will be available at the house. (URL HIDDEN)

Remember to leave us a note in the house guestbook with your comments and suggestions. We would love to know how you spent your time here!

Peter was an incredibly nice, responsive, and flexible host. His home is cozy and great for our large group. Snug harbor marina could not have been more convenient for the boat rental! Would absolutely stay at Peter's house again.

Peter's Cedar Home is a beautiful quiet home on the very northern end of Lake George. It was spacious, clean.and comfortable. There is a nice large side yard so be sure to bring lawn games or soccer balls etc. Peter has a canoe and kayaks which provided the family with hours of fun. There is a dock for a small boat and make sure you visit the public black just down the road. We spent a few hours a day there and the kids loved playing volleyball, going to the park and swimming. Enjoy!

Peter's house was exactly as advertised, and more! The kitchen was stocked with any spice you could need, and some basic food prep ingredients; there were plenty of kitchen tools, even a Vitamix blender. The rest of the house was very clean and did not disappoint. There were plenty of towels and linens for use. Peter was very helpful and responded promptly with any questions I had. For those looking to rent a boat, Snug Harbor Marina is only .7 miles away. For the price, you really can't beat this house for a nice weekend away with friends or family.

Peter was a kind host from the beginning to end of our stay. The house is exactly as pictured and had enough space for our group during Memorial Day weekend. We rented a boat and the dock was the perfect amenity. We took advantage of the kayak and canoes and had a great time. Will definitely be back again and 100% recommend Peter's place!

Peter provided a lot of helpful information about the location. The house is on the northern end of the lake in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The neighbors we met during our stay were lovely. We rented a boat, visited islands on the lake, spent afternoons fishing and swimming, and then docked it at our own private dock. We went canoeing, and hiking at the nearby mountains. We rode our bikes and explored the area. It was a great family trip!

Peter was pleasant and responsive by email and text, and it was nice to have a dock where we could do a little fishing and have a rental boat. But we should have asked more pointed questions about the location. Ticonderoga doesn't have much to offer visitors. We thought it would be nice to be so close to a town, but instead we felt that our location lacked privacy and we had to travel far to find places we wanted to eat. And although we could keep a boat at the dock, we didn't realize it would take at least 20 minutes in the narrow and densely built no-wake zone (each way) to reach the main part of the lake, which makes it not so easy to come and go from the house while spending days on the lake. You can't just go out for a quick spin, and it's not a welcoming spot for swimming right at the house. Also, the interior of the house is fine, but not great. The bathrooms feel kind of cramped. The master bedroom is not really big enough for the king bed. It would be more comfortable (and you might be less likely to hit your knees at night on the bedpost) with a queen bed. We still had fun being on Lake George when we headed out to the main part of the lake, but we ended up feeling that we paid much more than we should have for what this location actually offers.

My 7 friends and I (plus a dog!) spent Memorial Day weekend at the house, and we had an amazing time. The photos do not do this house justice... It is more spacious and modern than shown. We loved grilling on the deck, making fires in the fire pit, and fishing off the dock. The highlight of our trip was renting a pontoon boat nearby and spending the day on Lake George.

When we are not enjoying our beautiful Lake George home we love to share it with other responsible families and groups. In all we own 350 ft of lake front and 1.5 acres of flat lakefront property for you to enjoy during your stay. We have a 40ft dock at the house for your boat in our calm no wake zone on the north end of the lake.
