Welcome to Villa Akvileja!
The house was built in 1878 by Karl August Teodor Johansson and his wife Lovisa Amanda, and it has since then stayed in the family’s possession. It is centrally situated in Vaxholm in the middle of the archipelago with good communications both into Stockholm city and further out into the archipelago.
The villa is located at a height with a breathtaking view of the southern channel and the inlet to Vaxholm. In the rocky garden blooms lavender, peony and obviously Akvileja (Granny’s Nightcap). It is now the fifth generation that lives in the house, which over the years has been expanded and renovated yet kept its original charm.
