Minimalni boravak: 1 noćenje
Let's start from the positive things: the apartment was clean and well located in town. The communication with the host was good, as she has always replied promptly to emails and messages from the very beginning. I am not sure I can call Joshi a "host" though, as she didn't provide what according to my other experiences on airbnb should be the minimum standard: towels (ok, I can accept there were no towels), a blanket (well, there was one but not on the bed, I had to search into her wardrobe where one was stored together with some food), but above all there was no toilet paper. Unless I go to a campsite, I do not usually take toilet paper with when I travel. The kitchen in the apartment could not be used: due to renovation works upstairs, the landlord placed two large bins stinking like garbage in the kitchen during my staying to collect water and material possibly dropping from the ceiling. He and maybe also the bricklayers came into the apartment almost every day and also entered the room I stayed in, then leaving for example the door open I had shut so to prevent the bad garbage smell invading the sleeping room. A couple of days before my arrival, Joshi had actually warned me there would be some construction work upstairs, but only pointing out to the fact that it could become noisy during the working hours, which for me wasn't of course a problem, as I knew I would have spent the working hours outside. In hindsight, I realize she had no idea of what kind of work they were doing in the building. Nor she had asked the landlord. As if it were not enough, one night Joshi, the "host", came into the apartment because she had planned to overnight there, but then changed her mind and, while leaving the apartment, she locked me in, so that the next morning I could not get out and also could not deliver my work because Internet was not working. The last night I spent there, some water started dropping from the ceiling also in my room, so that I had to get up and place a plate to collect the water and listen to the "tick tick" for half an hour until it stopped raining. I think Joshi didn't understand Airbnb is not just a way to subrent the apartment during the time you don't need it. You are supposed to provide a minimum standard of service. Altenatively, you lower the price. After all what happened, I expected at least some apologies from her, and maybe also a partial refunding of the almost 40 € I paid for that sort of service.
