In a spacious and well-furnished apartment in a historic building, B&B Dei Mille is just a short walk from the promenade and very close to the station and public car parks. The flat has two large, comfortable double rooms with private bathrooms.
Giovanni Razetto, the maternal great-great-great-grandfather of Emanuela, who runs the B&B, built the building where the B&B is situated. He was a ship-owner, patriot, Grand Master of Freemasonry, and friend to Giuseppe Garibaldi; Razetto financed the Sicilian expedition, together with others. Construction of Palazzo Razetto began in 1870 lasting until 1874 , and the townspeople called it "U Palassu du Massun". You can admire the interesting Risorgimento and Masonic decorations on the facade. Giuseppe Garibaldi stayed in Camogli on several occasions as a guest of his friend and of his family, who, after the death of the “hero”, decided not to change his room in any way and this room is now available to guests of the B&B. By a strange turn of fate, Emanuela’s paternal great-great-great-grandfather was Nino Bixio, another friend of Giovanni Razetto as well as being confrere and Master of "San Gian Battista", one of Razetto's sailing ships. It was natural, at this point, that the B&B was called "Dei Mille", like the mythical number of participants in Garibaldi’s mission.
The B&B Dei Mille is located in a spacious, comfortable apartment furnished with antiques. Guests can enjoy the two large and comfortable double bedrooms, a wide central hall with a Carrara marble fireplace and the dining room, where a generous breakfast is served. Each bedroom, decorated with stunning in the high ceiling frescoes by Barabino, the famous Genoese artist active in Liguria in the second half of the nineteenth century, has a private bathroom (not en-suite).
