We are about 3kms from the centre of the city and the docks (a 40 minute walk 15 minutes on the bus or a $10 five minutes cab fare) where the Taste of Tasmania is held amidst the hundreds of yachts which race from Sydney, Melbourne and Launceston, and entertains many thousands of visitors from all points of the globe between Christmas and New Year.

The Lenah Valley Bus from Bus Stop G in the bus mall ( near the GPO in Elizabeth Street ) will drop you either at the front door or the bottom of the street depending on the time of day.
Just ask the driver to let you know when you get there.
There is an excellent fine food providor- Hill Street Grocer store and- a Bottle Shop at the intersection of Augusta Rd and Elizabeth St.
There are also Woolworths, a BWS and Coles neat the intersection of New Town and Risdon Roads - a five minute drive North.
Woolies is probably the better of the two.

Hill Street, West Hobart (one suburb South) is a bit of a tourist attraction with its amazing range of fresh and packaged local and imported food stuffs and wines.
(Princess Mary of Denmark has a house not far away and sometimes shops here with her sister when in town.)
