Lovely, comfortable and peaceful studio flat in a Victorian townhouse only 10 minutes walk from Princes St. A great base to explore the city centre and only 5 minutes from lively Stockbridge with its many cafes, small shops, and open spaces.

Hi Katie I'm glad you liked the cookies! They are very easy and quick to make and you can add any flavouring you like. 100g butter 100g light brown sugar 1 tablespoon golden syrup 150g self raising flour 80g of fudge pieces, chopped chocolate (my favourite is white chocolate and dried raspberries) Turn the oven on to 180 degrees celsius (or 160 if fan-assisted). Line 2 baking trays with greaseproof paper. Beat the butter and sugar together then add the syrup. Beat in half the flour, then your fudge/chocolate or what ever flavouring you are using, followed by the rest of the flour. Make into small balls, place on baking trays and flatten them a little with your fingers. I usually get 12 or 13 cookies out of this quantity. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes. They should be slightly golden but will seem very soft. They harden up as they cool. Enjoy! Best wishes Jane
This is a beautiful space in a great location. It's an easy walk to Stockbridge, New Town, and Old Town, and the unit is wonderfully laid out, well-supplied, and very stylish. Nigel's also a great host, and overall this was a perfect setup for a few days in Edinburgh.
