The Salt Ash inn is a 200+ year old inn located on Rt 100 a "Vermont senic route". We strive to provide a great experience at a fair price. Our inn is a very casual and homey place.
Five Corners Pub is located onsite and operates Thursday - Sunday. Live music from 7 - 10 Saturdays during the ski season.
We are less then 10 miles to Killington, Okemo and Long Trail Brewery. Just down the road you will find Lakes, state parks and snowmobile rentals.
The Plymouth Room is located on the second floor at the very end of the hallway. The room has windows on both the east and west sides and gets sunlight all day long. Bright and quiet, it features a queen bed plus a twin daybed. The room has breathtaking mountain views to the west and overlooks the backyard area to the east. The large bathroom features a Tub/shower. This is a great room for a family with one child or a small group of friends.
In the Winter:
We're the closest historic inn to the slopes - only 6 miles from Killington's high-speed, Sky ship gondola and are only 8 miles to Bear Mountain - use either of these entrances and avoid the access road traffic jam! (The main Killington entrance is only 10 miles away!).
Okemo ski resort is less than 10 miles to our south and offers the Jackson Gore facility with a variety of slopes, new high-speed lifts, marvelous base lodge and dining facilities.
For non-skiers, our area provides lots of other winter fun В– including snowmobiling with nearby rentals through Killington Snowmobile Tours and VAST trail access across the street. There is also snow tubing at Okemo, sleigh rides, ice-skating, ice-fishing, day-spas, museums, antiquing excursions, outlet shopping, and quaint country villages with winter festivals.
In the Summer:
From mid-May through late October, there are so many recreational and educational opportunities within a short drive from Salt Ash Inn. They include bicycling, motorcycling, mountain biking, cross-country and mountain hiking, state parks, fishing and boating, golfing, disk golfing, horseback riding, and virtually any type of outdoor recreation you can think of. Summer and fall are perfect times to enjoy the moderate temperatures of our clean mountain climate and our cool, starlit nights, while shopping, dining, antiquing, visiting craft fairs and artisan exhibits, little-theatre evenings, and farm-life experiences. Maple-sugaring demonstrations in late spring are great fun, and our fall foliage is incomparable. We are located along Route 100 which is a scenic by-way.
