It's a warm house that get's a lot of natural light and sun streams in most of the windows including the guest room which get's the morning sun. The supermaket and sereval cafe are only 5 minutes walk away. It takes 15 minutes to walk to Ponsonby Road and 40 minutes to walk into town and there is also a bus stop close by.
Ponsonby is only a 30 minute walk into town. It is widely considered the most fashionable suburb in Auckland. It is an exciting hub of cafes, top restaurants, bars and shops.
The house is relatively close to Ponsonby Road and all the activity on it, but is still a quiet & peaceful home, with a lovely sunny deck & small garden. It is a two story house that is split and both I and my guests reside on the lower level.
The house is very sunny and warm and in one of the best locations Auckland has to offer. There is a large well equipped kitchen and the bathroom has both a shower box and deep old fashioned claw bath. The house is nearly 30 years old so is not in pristine condition but this is also reflected in my pricing.
There is one bedrooms available, with a double bed, 2 set of drawers and a large double wardrobe. There is also a desk & chair.
There is wireless broadband internet and all other modern appliances. (Microwave, 43 inch smart TV, DVD player, Blender, coffee maker, washing machine etc) Please ask about other possible things I may have forgot to list. There is a supermarket only five minutes walk away and the bus stop is also very close. There are also a number of lovely cafes only a short walk away.
Your host is Leila who is in her 40's and a graphic designer who would be happy to advise you on the best things to do and see in Auckland. The home is not suitable for anyone allergic to cats as I own two friendly house trained cats.
Coffee, tea, and milk is complimentary.
Smoking is allowed on the deck but not inside. I am happy to take booking from anything from a weekend to six months or more. In the past I have helped other couples who were immigrating to NZ and stayed with me while making the transition.
Please feel free to use the kitchen, sitting room and deck. I have both Internet access, Landline phone

I am happy to give lots of tips on what to do in Auckland and enjoy talking to new people but will also be sensitive to the fact some guest may prefer to keep to themselves
I am ok with guest smoking outside
Check in is after 2pm unless otherwise arranged. No smoking inside the house but smoking on the deck is fine. You have your own key and come as you like but please be considerate about noise after midnight. You are welcome to use any thing in the kitchen for cooking but please make sure you clean up after yourself. Please keep your bedroom window closed when out due to security issues. If you need extra cooking supplies like salt & pepper, oil, herbs for cooking that is fine but please let me know.
I am easy going and artistically inclined. I spend a lot of my time at the local cafes in Ponsonby enjoying arguable the best coffee in the world. I love going to see live theatre and I am a film buff seeing almost all the films shown at our Art house cinemas around Auckland. I also love seeing live music and sharing good food and a wine with friends.
