A 15-20min walk along the Hatea Loop gets you to the Town Basin, home to newly opened Hündertwasser Museum, Wairau Māori Art Gallery, waterfront dining, and centre of town shopping.

Best for 1-2 guests, but can snugly accommodate up to 4. Onsite carpark next to the self check-in studio apartment, fully detached & separate from the main house dwelling.

Prostor
We hope you enjoy your stay in our guest suite! Our renovated studio sits on the upper level above our main house where we live. This is a one bedroom studio apartment with a queen bed in the bedroom and fold out couch in the lounge to accommodate more guests. There is an extra charge for a third and fourth person.

Our place sits at the top of a central suburban avenue off Riverside drive, with views on entry over the Hatea river & central Whangarei. The area is relatively quiet set amongst trees with birdsong in the morning, and only occasional noises carrying up from Riverside Drive.

The studio has a kitchenette for your use with sink, cutlery, crockery and kettle. Nespresso coffee machine & pods, plunger coffee plus a range of black & herbal teas are provided. Cooking facilities are a Microwave and Breville Bench-top oven that can bake, grill, airfry & toast all in one.

Bathroom is standard with a new shower, gas hot water, toilet & handbasin.

You'll find some quirky custom features, ie light fittings, porthole window, which are handmade & fitted items by us.

No TV but unlimited wifi, an old-school cassette tape deck with a drawer full of tapes, books & games.

- Relaxed check out time of 11am and flexible check in time after 2pm.

- We are friendly and accommodating people, flexible on things if you ask & need and happy to help if you have any questions!

Dostupno gostima
You'll have 1 carpark directly out front of the studio, and there's further street parking should you need. You'll also be sharing the driveway with us, your friendly hosts. As the studio is at the top of the property, the pathways running beside the studio will also be shared by us leading from the driveway, past the studio down to the main house.

We also spend time in the garden in the evenings & on the weekends, so you might see us out there from the pathways.

Ostale napomene
We're a married couple in our 40s with relatively busy lives and involved with a lot of events within the community. We have a cat that is really friendly, however we keep her out of the studio incase any guests do have allergies.

You may may hear kitchen cooking noises from us in the evenings, and one of us works from home in an upstairs office on the town side of the main house, so is mostly onsite should you need anything. We also ask that you do not smoke inside the studio, however outside is OK. No loud parties or events allowed.

Punga Grove - it says it all really!! We're a lovely winding road up to the top of the grove, with most houses tucked in on the hill surrounded by lots of trees & birds. If you fancy a good walk/hike, Mt. Parihaka sits behind us with multiple walking tracks leading up to the summit, accessible from many starting points.

Eursula works from home in the digital/online space, and David works on boats at a local boatyard.
