Bedroom (one of four) with mezzanine in a country house in a quiet farm, off the small village of Viana do Alentejo, 30km south of Évora (UNESCO World Heritage). The house is in the middle of a 22,000 sqm rural property full of centenary olive trees and an orchard with different types of fruit trees, and facing an extented kitchen garden. The peaceful setting combines the comfort of renovated premises with the place's traditional identity and authenticity, reinforced by organic farming and by the animals that live around the house: the sheep, horses, chicken, cats, dogs... and the donkey Sebastião.
An important area of the house, its central element, is dedicated to the textile arts, my own atelier. It offers a small library and is equipped with looms and material for textile creation, be it spinning, weaving, tapestry, knitting, crotchet, etc..
A welcoming environment awaits craftspeople, artists, trekkers and daydreamers alike, whether they have a flair for such activities and are interested in creative projects, investigation and training in textiles and textile related activities - or simply wish for unspoilt nature, either for long walks or a comfortable restchair under the inviting porch.
Textile and/or country lovers welcome!
Room Nº 4 has a double bed (sized 140 x 200 cm).
There are 2 bathrooms just beside (one with shower and another with bathtub).
Very quiet and with a delightful natural light, you will wake up, in your own time, for the morning bird singing. Alentejo hosts the richest bird populations.
Breakfast (made of regional fresh products) is served either in our kitchen or in the garden, it’s up to you.
We just wish you are as happy as we are here.

My name is Isabel . I settled in Alentejo in 1998, with my husband, Carlos, an architect who loves taking good care of our animals, our farm and our kitchen.
I dedicate myself to weaving and spinning. I take active part in projects of creation and investigation about textiles with other craftspeople and artists from a number of creative fields, as well as in awareness projects showing the “Route of Wool” – from the lamb to the loom, including dyeing – a true Wool Workshop.
