Located on Casco Bay in Portland. Stairs down to our quiet sea glass beach. Catch the sunrise over the Bay. Look out over the harbor islands and the night lights. 4 minute walk to an hourly bus (till early evening) or 30-40 min walk along the waterfront to city's active Old Port.
One of only 22 houses n Portland with waterfront. It's 110 years old with a Twin Oak, that began growing about 2 decades before the Civil War, shading a section of the beach. Coffee at dawn, cocktails on the deck at high tide or full moon rise over the Casco Bay. It's all good.

I, or representative, will be around to greet you, or soon after your arrival, and someone will be available at all times to help as needed or to answer questions.
Cable, Wireless Internet, Gas cooking
Also a shower/bath on first floor.
There is no smoking in the house or on the property. Unfortunately, for some, we don't allow pets. The house is not small-people friendly. There is a steep embankment and stairs to the beach and electrical outlets are not plugged, not cabinets locked. We expect that guests will be respectful and care for the house as if it were their own. It has been standing, respectfully, in wind and weather, for over 73,000 high tides, welcoming sunrise for 109 years.
I am 66 and have lived in Portland for 30 years, 26 years in Pirate's Retreat. I travel a lot, have been to 70 countries and sail in Maine in nicer weather.
