I would not call a guest at 2:30 am on a whim. I was sound asleep when the Airbnb guests below them called to report a ruckus in the apartment (duplex) above them. This started around 1:30 am, when the Nasah guest arrived home from "dinner". Although, I am not sure what restaurants are open at that time. They had met the downstairs guests earlier in the evening at 7:00 and were pleasant and were leaving for dinner at that time. So I suppose it was a VERY long dinner. They made lots of noise upstairs and the downstairs guests called the manager to complain. This went back and forth for an hour until the manager gave up and got me involved. Repeated phone calls over 90 minutes went unanswered. The downstairs guest obviously could not sleep, but were afraid to go up and personally confront them. So I got in my car to drive 30 minutes to personally take car of it. On the drive there, the Nasah group finally picked up the phone. They stated they were just setting up the bed. This was not consistent with 90 minutes of loud banging and talking reported by other group. I asked if they were now going to bed and would be quiet. They stated NO, there was even more people coming that were out with their children at 2:30 am getting supplies. (surprised as I personally wopuld have left kids with adults on premises rather than drag out at that time in a strange city). They stated they could not predict what kind of noise the NEXT group would make whenever they got back in. Since they clearly stated they would not be quiet, I told them they would have to leave the next morning and not stay another night as the guests below were also staying and needed a good nights sleep their second night. That sent them into a tizzy! They emailed me I was racists and so forth. I wrote back that if they did not leave in the morning I would have to legally evict them . In this city in order to do that, the the police must be present. I have called the police once before on white college girls partying all night. Has nothing to do with race. I can supply those police records.
At that point the Nasah group decided to leave and make as much noise as possible while doing so. The lower guests feared they were destroying the place ( they did not). They proceeded to call the lower guests racist and screamed and yelled at them. The lower guests captured all this on video as they wanted proof THEY were not they were not the racist ones!! And proof of who were the ACTUAL aggressors.
AIRBNB agreed the Nasah group did not follow our rules and they did not get a refund as a result. I think that further inflamed them and the only way for revenge was a review. You will see I DID NOT negatively review them as I think it would have been rude. I am not a vengeful person. I refunded the lower guests for their stay as it was ruined, so I lost $250 as a result of accepting this reservation. I am looking for a way to post the video of the Nasah group's outrageous behavior. Maybe look for the keyword Nasah :) to get BOTH sides of this story. Guests of all types are ALWAYS welcome. After all, I did accept the reservation of a homosexual black couple. A racists would have declined. Please read all the glowing reviews from previous black guests as well. Thanks!
