Opal Cliff Beach House is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath home on Opal Cliff Drive. Located in a quiet neighborhood, but close to all the fun things! Views of the ocean across the street. Beach access just a few doors down and walk down the cliff stairs.

Welcome to Opal Cliff Beach House! Smell the mist, feel the breezes, hear the seals and see Monterey Bay from the beautiful sun room windows in this Santa Cruz home.

Relax in the hammock and on the outdoor decks. Luxuriate in the hot tub surrounded by the whimsical and colorful garden. You'll be in the best of Santa Cruz and Capitola at the Opal Cliff Beach House. After you arrive and settle in, step out your front door - walk to the right five minutes to the "Hook" - a famous surfing spot with steps down the cliffs to the beach. 5 minutes further and you are at Pleasure Point.

Walk out the front door to the left a few doors down to "Privates" - you have a key to access this special private beach. Walk ten minutes further and you are in quaint and popular Capitola Village. The end of the wharf is a great restaurant or take in the Pizza, Thai, Italian, Mexican and specialty restaurants on the waterfront along with wonderful shops, galleries and ice cream! You can rent fishing boats, kayaks or rowboats. Watch the pelicans...... Opal Cliff Beach House is close to Nisene Marks Redwood Forest, wonderful for biking, hiking and running. Also Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor where there is sailing, boating and whale watching.

We offer a 3 bedroom, three bath home on Opal Cliff Drive. This home is perfectly located 5 miles from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, 3 miles from Santa Cruz Harbor and half a mile to Capitola. Quiet neighborhood, peaceful and relaxing. No overflow beach parking and noise. But, close to all!

This is a vacation rental home - please read before booking.

11% Santa Cruz lodging tax we collect and submit to the city. It is collected by airbnb.
We hope you enjoy our home - much care has been taken to create and maintain the home and gardens. Please treat as if they were your own and respect the neighbors. It is a very nice residential area.

By payment to owner for rental of this property, you agree to abide by the following - If any infractions, we will retain partial or full security deposit –
Santa Cruz County requires I advise you of occupancy limitations, parking requirements and noise regulations. I am at risk of losing my license to vacation rent my home if there are too many violations. Please respectfully comply.


OCCUPANCY –
House has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths - to accommodate no more than 8 PERSONS . Any additional guests/children at ANY time of day, NOT JUST OVERNIGHT, must have owner approval. No extended parties over accommodated guests without owner approval.
PARKING –
Cars are to be parked in front of the house - not in front of any neighbors. 4 MAX.
There is ample area in front for four cars – no large rv's, trucks or boats.
PETS –
Please clean up after your pets and do not allow them to bark excessively.
NOISE/ILLEGAL ACTIVITY - No loud noise or music outside after 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Any illegal drinking or drug use will be immediate cause for you to be asked to leave and you will forfeit all rental amounts and deposits.

APPLIANCES/SUPPLIES - You should find everything you need to enjoy your stay -
Kitchen has all dishes, glassware, appliances, soaps, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
3 Bedrooms have queen beds and 1 queen bed in family room. All have down comforters, pillows and linens. Extra blankets/pillows.
Baths are furnished with towels and soaps .
Barbeque and charcoal/lighting supplies on deck
3 TV's with remotes/Direct TV/HBO DVD player.
Stereo with 8 speaker system and CD player WIFI/high-speed Internet access Beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys and coolers.
Private's Beach Key (credit card form) is in plastic envelope – kitchen counter.
Make sure it is left or $100 to replace for next guest.
TRASH - Trash pickup is Monday morning – trash service will get cans on side of house early Monday morning. Make sure they are not overflowing. 2 gray for trash, 1 blue for recycle and green is yard waste only. Allow space to remove cans and any additional trash you will be charged additional fee for pickup. BIKES – 2-3 bikes and helmets are in the garage – they are checked out but we cannot guarantee their functionality and safety. Use at your own risk and do not leave unattended or out in front of the house. If missing/lost, you will be charged $200 each for replacement. PROPERTY - Constant maintenance and attention are given the property to ensure cleanliness and that all is in good running order – but - things do break like any household. We make immediate attempts to resolve but do not give any refunds or compensation for temporary loss or use of any appliances, power losses, etc.

Owner/manager may at times be in a separate studio apartment in the back to manage property. No common area use. You have complete privacy.

DEPARTURE - ON DEPARTURE MAKE SURE TO TAKE ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS, DO UP YOU DISHES AND START DISHWASHER AND LOAD WASHING MACHINE AND START CYCLE. WE WILL TAKE CARE OF THE REST!

They had us at the three+ large bedded ensuite bed rooms but we also found Joyce's Opal Cliff house exceptionally well equipped and provisioned for our three generation with dogs family beach week. We had some great family and beach time along with some Concours D'Elegance events down the coast in Monterey. Fun.

Ideal location. Close to Capitola, 41st. Street and Pleasure Point. Great place for the family with its oasis of a back yard and upper front deck faces the ocean. Our family loved it!

Joyce's house is fabulous. It has everything you want in a vacation home - view, comfort, location and amenities. I especially liked the fact it has 4 queen sized beds. Most vacation homes we've stayed at in the past have maybe one or two; the rest are twin or bunk beds. For 3 couples and a single, this home was great!

We had the best time during our stay. Besides having a great house to stay in, we enjoyed our walks on the private beach of the neighborhood. The view corridor is awesome. The decorations made me feel like I was traveling in global destinations. Back yard a plus. The hot tub was a hit after our surf contests. Thanks Joyce for a wonderful home away from home.

This house was incredible!!! The property is absolutely beautiful! It's stocked with everything you possibly need! The locals are super awesome and the community is great. There's a private beach with awesome views. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!!!!!

We Had a great stay at Opal cliffs. Beautiful home in an amazing location! loved the private beach just around the corner! We would definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay at the Opal Cliffs Beach House. Plenty of space for a group of 6-8 people with a great dining area, multiple decks for outdoor eating and relaxing, and lovely backyard with hot tub and hammock. The house is a short walk from 41st Ave, which has several nice restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a great surf spot! There are no grocery stores within walking distance, though it's just a short drive to Safeway, Whole Foods, etc.
