Rae and Ami are dream hosts and the apartment and town are wonderful!
Leading up to our trip, it was easy to reach them and get information. We received the sweetest welcome, which included fresh peaches and the absolutely delicious "Calmbucha" that Rae and Ami make right at home. We learned all about the Calmucha, which was fascinating, and we now have a favorite new word- Scoby! Look that up in your Websters!
The apartment itself is wonderful, with a well-stocked kitchen that made it easy for us to make meals there when we felt like staying in. There's a coffee maker and coffee. The view through the large glass doors is of a huge back yard, magical and gorgeous.
There's a hot tub steps away from the apartment, overlooking the enchanting back yard, which is actually way too amazing to be called simply a "yard".
There's a nice little table and chairs set up right outside the apartment, overlooking all that greenery.
Inside the apartment, there's a fun, colorful funky atmosphere. We felt right at home!
There are also two fabulous orange cats, Puffy and Spicey, outside, who visited us a few times.
Rae and Ami were super helpful with suggesting things to do and giving us directions. We LOVED walking along the old railroad tracks, which are now the most lovely wooded path, leading to the Water Market, which has a HUGE antique store with low prices. Also in the Water Market is great coffee, stores, a wine bar, outdoor sitting areas.
Further along the path is the vegan chocolate place. YUMMY!!!
In town, there are many different kinds of restaurants and stores.
We especially loved that we were able to enjoy so many things easily, without a car.
We didn't say "Goodbye" to our hosts because we've made new friends who we certainly will see again in the future.
P.S. I'm afraid to gush too much because we don't want this place to get so booked that we can't go back!
