Our house in the hills of Moca treats all of your senses. We have a panoramic view of mountains and long distance ocean (complete with island silhouette.) See both sunrise and sunset, taste, touch and smell our flowers & fruits, listen to the birds
If you want to experience Puerto Rico like a local, peacefully and comfortably but 'like you live there' then our place might be just what you're looking for. Our listing is as a 'private room' but it has it's own entrance and is technically separate from our main living area. (The property is sort of 'split level' and our rental has it's own access) The space includes not only private bedroom and bath but a spacious living room with couch and loveseat, and opens up onto our shaded/partly covered back deck. We currently do not have a kitchen down there but for your convenience, the space does offer a cube refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, electric water kettle and double burner cook top and toaster oven, electric grill is also available for use. We sit just 15 minutes from beautiful jungle waterfalls and swimming holes (Gozlandia), and only 25 minutes from a number of Aguadilla's wonderful beaches, about 35-40 to Aguada and Rincon's. A pleasant half hour or so drive takes you to the popular Caverns of Camuy, about the same takes you to Isabela's beaches and, if you're here on a Friday, just 10 minutes to the engaging mercado ('farmers market' ) which boasts everything from peacocks and produce/plants to tools and musical instruments...mixed in are food trucks and hand crafted island treasures....truly worth a visit. For those attending events at Hacienda El Jibarito, we are just 8-10 minutes away, a short 3.5 to 4 mile drive. So, beyond being nearby to many things, we offer a somewhat secluded, peaceful country experience. Situated on the crest of a hill top small neighborhood, we have amazing views, beautiful gardens and a wide variety of fruit and vegetables growing right here. Guests find the back deck a beautiful and welcome morning and evening delight that bookends their days, relaxing and enjoying coffee or tea by morning and a cold refreshing beverage as the sun goes down. We also have a wonderful private outdoor shower area featuring HOT and cold water and nighttime lighting! Cool off after a good day at the waterfall or beach, and/or take your morning shower in beautiful privacy among the tall gingers, ferns and lush green plants with views of a tall coconut palm, avocado, banana and pana trees. We do have pets on site, who more or less free roam, but all are friendly and welcoming. There is a pharmacy, bakery, and small market just a couple minutes from the house. As guests you are welcome to use and explore the full grounds, yard spaces, hammocks and swing chairs, pick and enjoy fruits of the land etc... We are familiar with many attractions, both 'guide book listed' and not, and can usually provide directions and information about ways to explore and fill your days while on the Western side of PR. Available (but not included in room price) amenity options include handmade fresh juices, pina coladas, meals, wine/cheese, homemade coconut milk, holistic healing work such as crystal bowl sound healing, shamanic healing, massage and other alternative healing if you should wish. We also have a large air mattress, cots, and hammock available for sleeping options. We also have a large selection of guidebooks and beach items that can be borrowed during your stay. We also have a generator to ensure our guests have electricity and water guaranteed to their space, should island weather etc... interfere with either of those. Our internet service has been upgraded to provide consistent strength, hi speed wifi connection and cable tv is included in our rental area.
The primary rental space is located on the lower level and includes a bedroom with king size tempurpedic mattress, private bathroom and shower, and large living room that opens up onto the back deck. The living room is equipped with large tv, dvd player, with cable and wifi. These are all areas with full guest private access. Additionally, we invite our guests to come upstairs, view the sunset from our porch, enjoy the swing chairs on the 3 side wraparound porch and to feel free to mingle with us on the upper level. There is a washer/dryer on this level available for their use also. Guests should feel free to wander the property, pick and enjoy fruit, and enjoy all the spaces of the property. Additionally, we do have one smaller guest bedroom with full size bed upstairs that occasionally can be booked.

We occupy the upper level, and generally work from home, as well as 'working our land' daily (though while guests are here we suspend that so you have your own backyard oasis to enjoy) so we are very accessible for guests to help with their stay, answer any questions or provide assistance. We're happy to sit and chat, and welcome socializing, especially at sunset, but anytime happily. We also like to give you your privacy to enjoy your stay in any manner you wish.
We have cats and dogs living with us, all very friendly and happy.
Regarding pricing: we are obligated to collect a 7% PR room tax and file it with the Tourism Office on a monthly basis. Airbnb does not have a provision to collect this through their website so we must collect it during your stay, prior to check out. Based on our current rates that 7% room tax will range from $3.50 to $4.20 per day. We will issue you a receipt for this at your check out. Thank you for your understanding.
Simply respectful... We do prefer that only our 'booked' guests stay; any additional/previously unmentioned guests should be discussed with us please.
Od 1. Prosinac 2017. - 28. Veljača 2018. minimalni boravak je 2 noćenja.
Quiet, easy going, eager to please and help others...yeah, they sound like cliche's, I admit...but it's really how I try to live my life. Love and respect animals, love nature and the peace it brings. When traveling I like to 'see it like a native'...some tourist attractions are just unavoidable because we all want to see and experience them, but I like to really get to know the 'vibe and energy' of where I visit by finding the 'favorite haunts of the locals, where they eat, go for good music, etc..' If we're hosting, it's much the same, we can point you in the direction of the 'must sees' but also show you the simpler pleasures and treasures of the island.
