La Meridiana – Holiday Rooms and Apartments is located in Colorno, a bonny little town in the Parma lowlands. La Meridiana is just a few meters away from the town center and the Ducal Palace, close to the ringroad junction towards Parma or Mantua, in an ideal position to reach:
to the North, the cities of art Sabbioneta and Mantua as well as the trade town of Casalmaggiore;
to the East, Brescello, a village known for the Don Camillo and Peppone saga, and the industrial area of Casale di Mezzani;
to the South, the city of Parma, the SPIP and S. Polo di Torrile industrial areas, the tollbooth, the Parma trade center in Baganzola and the General Hospital: all these places are 10 minutes away by car;
to the West, all those villages along the Po river in the Culatello of Zibello production area and the village of Busseto with the Verdi’s locations and Fontanelle, the village that gave birth to Giovannino Guareschi. This is the heart of the “bassa”, literally the lowlands that are famous for their excellent food and wine production and exhibitions, such as November Porc.
La Meridiana – Holiday Rooms and Apartments is in a newly renovated building, where guests have a choice of rooms with en suite or shared bathroom facilities, in a warm, cosy and discrete atmosphere. Rooms are technologically equipped and have all comforts: air conditioning, LCD TV in all rooms, Wi-Fi, and possibility to pay by credit card. An attic apartment is also available with four beds, a living room, a kitchen nook, a double room and exclusive service. The facility is surrounded by a wide park with forest trees and inside parking. We provide comfortable accommodation in a warm and friendly atmosphere, where guests can organize their travel at best. We try to combine the efficiency and functionality of a Hotel with the comfort, peace and friendliness of a bed and breakfast or a farm house. Guests have full autonomy and independence: access is allowed 24 hours a day, breakfast room is always available and the maximum flexibility is offered in order to face guests’s check-in and check-out needs. Room cleanliness and efficiency of services are our key issues. Our philosophy is to make our guests feel like home.
