Great beaches and sights! It is best to have (rent) a car as this area is spread out and there is a lot to see. We are a 15 minute drive to the famous Fort Lauderdale beach, as well as downtown Fort Lauderdale. About 20 minutes drive to the Everglades (air-boat rides), and 35 minutes to downtown Miami and Miami Beach. It is warm and sunny here almost every day of the year!
Great shopping too! We are 10 minutes drive to the famous Sawgrass Outlet Mall, as well as two other local malls in our area. Las Olas (old downtown) and River Walk are a 15 minute easy drive from our home.
Additional rooms available if you're traveling in big numbers, we can accommodate 3 or 4 more people in rooms with shared bathroom. (see listings called "Private room in Plantation, Florida" and "Bright, cozy room in private home")
You will have access to our livingroom, kitchen, pool, laundry facilities and parking. You will have your own key/code to come and go as you please.
The #36 bus is just two minutes from our house and takes you to the Sawgrass Mall or to the beach. If interested we have a friend who will at times rent a scooter (moped) by the week or longer, I can inquire.
If my schedule allows I can offer a pick up from FLL for $30 and from MIA (domestic flights only) for $45. Uber works well here too.

Steve and Wendy, from south Florida, USA. We love to travel, and we play a lot of tennis. We lived in Austria for 7 years and Sweden for 1 year, so we consider Europe our "second home". We have three grown daughters and so their "empty" rooms are now filled with our guests, and we enjoy hosting people from all over the world!
