Charming two-story house on a quiet-yet-hip street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Huge master bedroom with a comfy king-sized bed, solarium with a sun seat, and a magical private garden! Across the street is a coffee/barber shop and a 12-seat classy Japanese joint. 2 blocks from the L train
We have put a lot of love into making this house the perfect space. From the airy solarium with its bright yellow wall and sun seat, to the private garden with the wispy bamboo and ivy-covered old growth trees, there is an essence of magic here. The living room looks out onto a tree-lined street with a tiny Japanese restaurant and barber shop, and you can easily talk to whoever is in the kitchen as it is all open plan. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes utensils, and cookware, a gas range, modern refrigerator, and dishwasher. The high table is glossy wood with wrought iron legs. The shabby chic blue chairs were purchased from a nearby hip bar. There is a half bathroom on the first floor with a washer and dryer that is free for use.
Upstairs, the master bedroom is huge with a king-sized bed and its own living room. Off the master bedroom is a balcony with two chairs that overlook the garden, perfect for an evening glass of wine. The upstairs bathroom has a glass-enclosed tub and shower with great hot water.
Overall, the house is amazing - airy, safe, pretty, with lots of natural light, three sitting areas, and a huge, comfortable bed for sleeping.
Guests will have full access to the main floor including the living room, kitchen, half bathroom, laundry facilities, solarium, garden; and the top floor, including the master bedroom, and a full bathroom with glass-enclosed tub and shower. There is another, smaller bedroom upstairs that is currently being used as a baby's bedroom with a crib. This bedroom will be closed.
There is a separate apartment downstairs with two more beds which is being rented separately but if it is available, and you want it, we could work something out.
The house has wifi and a tv which we use with hdmi cable only. There is a washer/dryer which you may use for free (but please don't leave change in your pockets - it can clog the drain and then bad things happen!). We do live in the house when it's not being rented so our things will be here but put away neatly and unlikely to get in your way. There is an air conditioner in the master bedroom and living room.
We live in this house and hope to come home to a place in decent order. Please, no parties. My husband is extremely allergic to dogs and cats. Please, also no pets. Finally, no smoking inside the house. You are welcome to smoke in the front or in the garden but if you do, kindly pick up your cigarette butts.
I have been hosting on airbnb for about 4 years. Previously, I listed my small studio apartment and had a lot of guests. More recently, I moved in with my partner and bought a much bigger house in Williamsburg. And now there's a baby! I travel frequently and use airbnb as a host and as a guest, all around the world. It's always been a great experience.
