Beautiful room with its own entrance, and lots of amenities in our lovely Uptown home, a three minutes stroll to St. Charles Avenue's Oak-lined, iconic street car line.
Our beautiful Uptown home is just a three minute walk to New Orleans famous oak-lined St. Charles Avenue and it’s iconic, romantic green street cars. Mardi Gras parades and Second Lines are so that drums make Ed the Wonder Dog Corgi nervous! He is friendly and adorable and welcomes new folks.
(URL HIDDEN)This is the home of a blues musician, so we understand and are familiar with the musical goings on around town and will happily offer guidance on where to go, who to see and what not to miss! We have also, quite happily, been privy to all the best restaurants from Antoine’s fine dining to Avery’s Po Boys and Central Market’s famous Mufeletta. We know and love this city. We have played host to some wonderful people, many of them well known musicians, and opening our home as a BnB was a natural step for us.
Your room has it’s own entrance, and comes complete with a small fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker. The bathroom, with washer and dryer, is just down the hall. In the morning, after a good night’s sleep on a comfortable, new Queen sized bed, brew up a pot of Café Du Monde Coffee and peruse an assortment of snacks in your fridge. Feel free to share our dining table, or enjoy the morning on your own private porch just outside your door.
In fact, we want to make you as comfortable as possible here in our home, while you enjoy your time in this city that we love. While we’re available for any questions you may have, the amount of interaction is all up to you.
When weather permits, and if it suits you, bicycles are available. New Orleans is a very bike friendly town and many attractions, like the Garden District, Audubon Park and Magazine Street are just a short ride away! Even The French Quarter is only two and a half miles away.
Wi-Fi? Of course! And we’ll make sure you have maps of the city, and plenty of pamphlets for companies that offer walking tours, ghost tours, cemetery tours, plantation tours, etc. for you to peruse as you sip your coffee and plan your ultimate New Orleans visit!
For “Foodies” and Revelers, New Orleans is beyond compare. Come see for yourself. We truly believe that this is a magic place, and we love to share it with others!

The dining room and living room are just outside your bedroom door, and you're welcome to eat and relax there, but people don't come to New Orleans to hang out in our house!
Interakcija s gostima
As much or as little interaction as you'd like. We're happy to share a light breakfast, and more than willing to offer any advice, suggestions, or help we can to make your stay a good one.
This is the home of a working musician, and we have hosted a lot of well known musicians; we get it. ("I'm not famous, but sometimes I get to play bass for people who are.") Come hang out! Take a lesson! Or just come and play!

We ask that you not smoke indoors, and to respect the privacy of our Master Bedroom. No parties. No illegal activity, no pets, and no overnight guests that are not part of the original agreement. Please be respectful of our neighbors. "Be nice or leave!" is the now famous quote by our local artist, Dr. Bob. We'll use the lesser known but more palatable, "Y'all can stay, but ya gotta act right!"
We are a couple originally from California, who a few short years ago made the dream of living in New Orleans a reality.
Kennan is a blues musician and I (Julie) am a nurse. We are also both published writers. We are well traveled nationally and internationally and appreciate comfortable accommodations, a trait which carries over into being good hosts.
We are happy to help you as much as we can to get to know the city. Or, if you prefer a more private experience, we're happy to leave you to discover the city on your own. Either way, we will try to make you feel at home as possible! Welcome to New Orleans!
