David thanks for staying and I appreciate your feedback. I think it is important for you to understand how staying in someones home works, so let me help :) For starters David, you were not locked out. You did not rent an entire home, meaning that when you first arrive, you don't just come in, you knock on the door to be met by your host unless other arrangements were made. I was flexible enough to allow a midnight arrival for you and waited up. You arrived early, unannounced and tried to come through the front door. Of course it would be locked, its the middle of the night and I told you that I would be there. Always ring the doorbell/knock on your first arrival to be greeted by your host and don't just try and let yourself in, unless your host has told you otherwise. From there you come and go as you please but your host will usually want to meet you being that you will be staying with them in their home. You feel that I am unorganized because you do not understand proper etiquette, which is an inaccurate assessment. I've been hosting for years and I think I've got this figured out :) Best of luck on your travel journeys and remember communication goes both ways. Your host can't communicate with you effectively if you don't respond!
