Initially Genebrando was very responsive to questions about the condo. However, when I arrived to the condo, he was not there, no one among the maintenance staff knew we were arriving, and I was unable to get a hold of Genebrando for many hours. The maintenance staff were kind enough to allow my extended family of 6 adults and 2 infants stay in an empty condo so that we wouldn't have to find a new hotel. When I finally heard back from Genebrando, the condo number he gave us to stay in was occupied despite the fact that we had reserved it. So we spent the first night in the empty condo with ants all over the place (including all over the bed; this was certainly more than anything you would expect as standard in a tropical location). Then we had to move all of our belongings (again, significant thanks to the maintainer staff for helping us out with the move) to Genebrando's place.
The condo itself is nice and spacious and includes dishes and cooking needs such as pots and pans. Despite Genebrando saying that there is a washer and dryer in the unit, that is not the case. Also, the beach is simply not usable, despite the advertisement and the photos- the amount of seaweed is prohibitive, both in the water and on the beach. Other developments were clearing this using shovels and also heavy machinery, but this was not the case at Mia. Also, to be aware, the outdoor pool, while nice, is not heated and was not cleaned over the course of our 8 day stay there.
