Originally built in the 1920s, this building was meticulously restored in 2000 and received the Mount Shasta Beautification Award.
Located a few steps above a dramatic courtyard entry, this home offers modern amenities with historical charm. Original hardware and hardwood floors complement the classic architecture. Comfortable furnishings, oriental carpets, and a wood burning fireplace add a homey touch. There is a flat screen SMART TV with a Chromecast wifi connection to stream your favorites from your computer, tablet or cell phone.
The kitchen has a four burner stove with oven, a microwave, convection toaster oven, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, waffle maker (great for paninis), electric wok, rice cooker, electric grill, slow cooker, blender, and apartment size refrigerator. It comes with plenty of pots and pans, plates, glasses and utensils.
Have your morning coffee on the private terrace in the skylit lobby surrounded by tropical plants. The bathroom has a shower and pedestal sink. There is a second half bath in the lobby. One bedroom features a queen bed with great views of Mt Shasta and the other bedroom has a double bed and a single daybed.
Along with the fireplace there is a space heater. Also, we provide air conditioning for those rare summer days when it is uncomfortably hot.
This is a private residence solely for your use. There is plenty of parking in our private lot.

We are happy to give you tips about what there is to see and do in and around Mt Shasta. We know all the good places to eat and the secret spots that only locals know. If we are out of town, we will make arrangements to get you the keys and email our suggestions. We are always available by phone or email to answer any questions or solve any problems that may arise. Our goal is your complete comfort and satisfaction.
We use 100% cotton sheets and all mattresses are encapsulated against dust mites.
After you book, be sure to read the House Manual. There is a lot of information to help you enjoy your stay.
We charge a basic cleaning fee to cover the costs of laundering sheets, towels, and general cleaning. You can avoid additional cleaning fees by leaving the space as clean as you found it. If extra cleaning is required it is charged at $25 per hour. If you leave the apartment as you find it, there will be no additional charges beyond the basic cleaning fee.
As previously mentioned, we have a problem with ants in the spring and summer. We make every effort to keep them out of the space. We recommend that you keep all food in the kitchen, keep it tightly sealed and clean up any food after cooking and eating. If you eat in other rooms, please be extra careful to clean up any crumbs or food bits to avoid ants and extra cleaning charges.
Any damages or missing items will be charged against your security deposit.
When using the stove, please clean up any spills. Cooked on food on the stove and drip pans will incur extra cleaning costs.
Please avoid using body lotion, oils, or getting food on the bedspreads and the decorative pillow covers..
To preserve the old hardwood floors we appreciate you observing our no shoes policy once you are in the residence.
Please do not leave wet clothes on the hardwood floors or wooden furniture as it damages the wood. Please don’t let clothes drip on the floors. We have provided a drying rack on the balcony.
Skis and bicycles may not be brought into the apartment. They can be left on the balcony and locked to the railing if you like.
There is a strict no smoking policy anywhere on the property.
