Unique Lake Muskoka waterfront cottage combining old pioneer log cabin with exciting modern addition. Sleeps 10: 3 Queens, 2 doubles. Lots of deck areas to lounge & relax plus kayaks, canoes, water toys and hammock. Beach shallow & also deep water.
The old cottage centres on an original century-old log cabin with gas fireplace flowing out to a traditional Muskoka Room with screened windows and separate bedroom alcove (with blackout blinds) overlooking the lake . It also has 2 pine-lined bedrooms ( 1 with queen, 1 with double bed) and full-sized bathroom (with bathtub). The old cottage is the place to relax, play games, watch favourite DVDs on rainy days, or just chat.
The new addition has 20 foot cathedral ceilings with a majestic Muskoka granite stone fireplace, fully-equipped, small, modern kitchen (with all stainless appliances: stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, espresso coffee maker), floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors and spectacular views. Between the two cottages, we have a small TV room with 45" HD TV with satellite reception, PVR and DVD player with a good selection of DVDs. There’s also an upstairs loft bedroom and bathroom in the new addition.
We have three separate decks plus a boathouse roof – a place for everyone to retreat and relax! Extras include large gas BBQ, firepit, laundry with washer and dryer, boathouse with 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, sailboat and swimming raft. The hammock also awaits you!
This beautiful lakeside home is on level ground with both a sandy, shallow beach area and water deep enough for diving. It is situated on a point of land that gets sun all day and fantastic sunsets. It’s located a few kilometres from the picturesque town of Bala in a quiet bay that’s great for swimming and relaxing. You can choose to eat on the boathouse roof, on the sun-deck below, on the deck outside the new cottage or inside the old or new cottage. The possibilities are great. In addition to great eating areas, we also have lots of loungers for you to enjoy.
Lots of parking, large gas BBQ, firepit, laundry with washer and dryer, boathouse with 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, sailboat and swimming raft. Satellite TV lots of DVDs. The hammock also awaits you! Provided there are no guests leaving or arriving immediately before you or after you, we're happy to be flexible with check-in, check-out times.
