I stayed 5 weeks in Pascaline apartment and had a wonderful time! The location is fantastic. In the heart of Paris. Everything is 'around the corner'. The building is very French and in a quiet street. The house was clean, indeed very family like. Everything was there and communication with Pascaline and her brother was easy, friendly and quick reactions when needed. I definally like to go back and recommand this place to others. Ciao Monique
Pascaline's flat is located in an ideal location in the Marais. Her block is very sociable and she is around the corner from a great variety of cafes, restaurants and bars. She's close to Clasico Argentina which serves tasty empanadas y helados. Metro 8 is only a block and a half away. Her friend Angeline met us and was very welcoming. Her flat has a good cross breeze. If you're used to minimalist spaces then her flat may feel cluttered but it had everything we needed, including a great assortment of DVD's. I'd stay here again.
What a delightful and homey apartment! I highly recommend a stay here. The apartment was bright and airy and had very good cross ventilation in the summer so it stayed cool on warm days. The living area feels quite large and has a large screen TV, a good DVD and CD collection and cable TV, WiFi internet, large couch which doubles as an extra bed, and a decent sized table for 4 or more. The main mezzanine bed is very comfortable and quite inconspicuous in the large living area. The child's bedroom was delightful and full of colourful toys, but also big enough for a large air mattress. The apartment is easily big enough for 2 or 3 adults, but the kitchen is quite narrow so would be a challenge for anyone oversized. It was well fitted out with oven, cooktop, microwave, small fridge, washing machine and even a dishwasher. There was no dryer but my clothes dried overnight on an airing wrack by the window in july. In winter it might require a trip to a laundromat. There was excellent hot water and pressure for the standing shower over the bath. The apartment was a few seconds or minutes walk from a supermarket, cafes and 3 metro stations, including Bastille. It is also on the edge of the Marais close to the Picasso museum (currently closed for renovations) and other attractions. There was some noise from the street and neighbours occassionally, and light from a streetlamp some nights, but not disturbing. There is a lift but sometimes Paris lifts don't work, so being on the second floor would not be too arduous if the lift failed. Pascaline was prompt in replying to enquiries and emails and flexible about check-in and check-out times. Her brother opened the apartment to us and was very friendly and agreeable, giving us all the information we needed and a useful map. We felt very welcome and would certainly come back for another visit. Thank you, Pascaline.
