Stylish modern apartment of 55 m2 in the Museum district near Museumplein (centre), situated at a square behind the Concert Hall. The apartment is located in a very popular and residental area and was built in 1900. The street is quiet and has a lot of trees.
The apartment is in a souterrain (basement). Not the sort of basement where you store your old furniture, but a specious light
floor. It was digged out in 2007 to create a new extra floor. It took 98 containers of soil to dig this out and the result was astonishing.
A Dutch newspaper came by to write about it ( 2 pages) and showed pictures of the amazing result.

Hello, I'm Irene. I use to work as a stylist and designer and I am still very creative in a lot of ways. My house is a perfect example of this creativity. My friends always say it reflects who I am.
I've lived in Amsterdam my whole life and in this neigbourhood for 28 years now! I am Amsterdam ;-)
I like art, love fashion and enjoy having lunch with friends. So I happily give you tips about museums, exhibitions, restaurants, boutique shops and make reservations for you.
A tennis court or a tattoo, a boat trip or bungee jump, you name it and I'll try to make it happen.
And then there's Dirk. Dirk is my cat. He is not the type who likes to have a lot of conversation. When he is not asleep or hiding in the garden, he will welcome you on top of the stairs with a shy hello. He's not much of a hero.
