Everything was perfect. That’s a big statement to make in an Air B&B review, but it’s true.
The reason it was perfect was because there was so much included in this experience that was not expected.
The day began with Erdem (Captain) contacting us to make sure that we knew how to find the harbor and the boat (we were running a little late, and he took it upon himself to reach out to us).
He confirms with you your day’s desires – where you would like to go, what you would like to do, etc. If you’re not sure, he will make suggestions. We recommend listening to these.
His chef prepares a coffee and cookie plate for you as you get under way, delivering it to you as you sit on comfortable cushions at the front of the boat (or wherever else you’d like to site), taking in the morning air as you depart Kas harbor.
After your first round of snorkeling, swimming, or sightseeing, the Captain navigates to a calm and secluded place to anchor for lunch. For us, he took us to an amazing set of underwater caves and a shipwreck for a snorkeling adventure, which he suited up for and guided us to. The most amazing snorkeling trip we’ve ever had.
Oh, and the lunch. The chef prepared a multi-course meal on the ship, from fresh ingredients, and served at perfect temperatures. The seabass was the best I’ve ever dined on. The accompanying wine selection and presentation was perfect, leaving us to eat on the deck’s dining table in the beautiful surroundings. One of us is vegetarian, so the chef created special dishes, doing this all without any advanced warning. We were awestruck.
Then off to more snorkeling, swimming, and sightseeing spots, letting us help pilot this beautiful 45’ sailing yacht. This was a thrill that can’t be matched – sailing the Mediterranean with friends, and not a care in the world.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the chef shows up at our resting spot near the front of the vessel with a self-prepared fruit plate of fresh watermelon, grapes, bananas, nectarines, and other tasty treats. The presentation and tastes were amazing.
Again, off to more adventures as we cruised Greek islands and more of the Mediterranean.
As the sun started to set, we started waxing on about how amazing the day had been. Truly an unbelievable experience.
It was then that a chilled bottle of champagne arrived at our forward roost. We sipped bubbly, watched the sun set, and realized we had experienced the perfect day.
Thanks, Erdem and chef. We spent 14 days in Turkey, and the one that we spent with you was the absolute best – without question. And it was because of what you delivered - the skill and thoughtfulness you applied to the entire experience.
We only wish we would have repeated this a few more times while we were in the area. Next time, we will.
