The most unique of the farmhouses due to age back to the 17th century.
After farm consolidation in 1945, 3 log parts of the old longhouse were rebuilt as independent houses - some combined with new additions.
Vetlabua was rebuilt as a storage cage upstairs and a woodshed below.
Liike this it was for one generation, before it became a summer hut/annex.
Views of the fjord and mountains are beautiful.
It has cozy, simple style, but NO WATER inside.
H/C water in bathroom/dishwashing in the barn.

The tiny hamlet of Bleie in Vikebygd villaga, with traditional fruit farms, and new cider farms, is a delightful place to just stay and rest. For all ages, incl children, the small, nearly car-free gravel road among the houses is a cozy walk.

Bleie is also a great base for trekking and CAR TRIPS around Fjord Norway.

WATERFALL- 'SAFARI' : We also have a special recommendation for this trip by car, a very good alternative especially in rainy day when hiking is not the best.

TROLLTUNGA - Take this thrilling and legendary trek, about 40min drive away to start point. But only 20 minuets from the shuttle bus from center of Odda town.

FJORD LANDSCAPE - EASY EXPERIENCE from 0-300 meters above sea level - Drive or walk up to the neighbouring mountain hamlet of Reiseter is a MUST when staying here. Then you will have more memories from where you have been staying and

FOLGEFONNA GLACIER NATIONAL PARK:
PILGRIMS TRAIL - from the cabin's door steps it is possible walk up to Folgefonna national park along the several thousand stone steps of the Pilgrims trail - one of Hardanger's golden routes, newly beautifully restored by Sherpas from Nepal.

SUMMER SKIING at Fonna Glacier ski resort - they will try to open already by Easter time this year. It is a fascinating drive up to the alpine mountains by the glacier, and a place to visit even if not skiing.

Retired fruit grower and first female adviser for the fruit farmers in Hardanger. Health problems put an end to my farming job. So the farmland is rented out.
Now I am 'only' landlady of the empty farm houses while e wait for the next generation to take over. It is so nice to have life and people around, and "lights in the windows". I try to do as good job as possible as an Airbnb host.
I try to have good communication with the guests in advance, because I want them to have as good as possible experience visiting my place.
I try to send link or otherwise give advice regarding hiking and sightseeing, what to bring in baggage depending on what activities the guests want to do etc.
I also explain which route is good to take to get here depending from where they come into Hardanger region
I try to be around when guests arrive and leave. Since I am living in the middle between 3 of theses farm houses, that is normally possible
Eternal gardening enthusiast with a wild garden along a river near the houses - free to use for guests in all 3 houses, sit in and enjoy the river.
Engaged in local community and sustainable development.
And last, but not least, a grandmother.

Finally; in the Airbnb map the listings are placed wrong - I am sorry, but it seems to be impossible to edit it.
3 of the houses are near each other if groups of friends would like to stay near to each others. Only the seashore house is a bit away from the others.
