Prostor
A lovely open plan living and kitchen area awaits you, with original beams and a exposed stone fireplace and wood burning stove (winter use only, beginning of October to end of March).

Comfortable seating for two, TV with DVD player, Freeview channels, Netflix (please remember your log-in details). There is also a Roberts digital radio for your use. In the chest of drawers by the window you will find a selection of games, DVD's and books and are happy for you to swap one of your holiday reads if you see something you fancy.

A cute little kitchen area with a two ring halogen hob, oven and fridge with freezer compartment. Don't forget to 'duck' as you step down in to the tiny scullery, with a little Belfast sink and draining area. Toaster, crockery and baskets for utensils and storage.

Open tread stairs lead you up to a light filled romantic bedroom with a view over the bay.

PLEASE NOTE that the stairs are narrow and reasonably steep and therefore unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

A comfortable double bed with a chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe gives you plenty of storage. Tucked away in the wardrobe you'll find a hair dryer and steam iron and a counter top ironing board.

Pretty glazed doors lead in to the en-suite bathroom with a pretty vintage vanity unity, loo and corner shower.

Parking:
There is some free parking directly next to the cottage outside the George restaurant, which is on a first come, first served basis. However if your lucky to get a spot, you can leave it there for the duration of your stay. Definitely worth keeping an eye on the spaces every day!

There is also some free street parking on the main road and a pay and display car park right across the road from the cottage.

The Mumbles, Wales, Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo

Mumbles village is a well-loved area of Swansea and the gateway to Gower, Britain's first designated area of natural outstanding beauty.

As you walk down the steps from the cottage, on your right is MK at The George, a new locally owned restaurant and Bar and a welcome addition to the burgeoning Mumbles food scene.

Cross the road in front of the cottage and you'll join the famous Mumbles promenade. Turn left and stroll towards the village, on your way you'll stumble across a little horse-box, home to the Gower Seafood Hut. Open daily from 12pm to 7pm from March until the end of September, it sells gorgeous calamari, fritto misto and various other yummy locally caught treats.

Be sure not to miss several restaurants, bars and food outlets on the opposite site of the road. These include The Mermaid Restaurant and Bar, Ty Cwrw (the tinniest bar in Mumbles) serving great craft ales and Yallops Fish and Chips. If you want a real treat, book a table in 'Mor', or for something lighter, try small plates and great wine in Elwyn.

Carry on along the prom and you'll pass the Oyster Wharf development, home to Prezzo's, Croeso Lounge, Bistrot Pierre, Gin & Juice and the Oyster House Hotel, boasting some of the best views across Swansea Bay.

This part of Mumbles is home to several chains including Boots, Co-op, Mountain Warehouse, Tesco, Fat Face, Joules, Sea Salt. and White Stuff. Sprinkled amongst the larger chains are a healthy choice of local independent retailers including Papi's Pizza's, Mumbles Fine Wines, the Gower Gallery and Joe's Ice-Cream Parlour. Their vanilla ice-cream is to die for!

No visit to Mumbles would be complete without a walk up Newton Road, which is the shopping street in the village. The bottom half of Newton Road is home to Castle Arcade, with the lovely Mumbles Coffee, Olives and Oils Deli and Stuarts Artisan Bakery. There is also a Tesco and M&S Food Hall.

On the right as you walk up the street you can't fail to notice the imposing ruins of Oystermouth Castle. Built in Norman times, it sits on a hilltop in the centre of the village, with fabulous views overlooking the sea. Learn about the "White Lady" who's said to haunt the castle. It's open on Tuesdays to Sundays from 11am to 5pm throughout the summer months.

A walk up the hill past M&S is well worth the effort. Here you'll reach the "Top Shops" of Newton Road. , with it's selection of independent shops, cafes, wine bars including Gin & Tapas and 'Fika', Love You a Latte and Cru 42. You'll also discover Pebble Clothing, and Closeout Surf Shop and the Oyster Gallery.

Head back along the promenade to the cottage and if you have any energy left carry on towards the famous Mumbles Pier. You could stop at The Pilot Inn, which brews it's own real ales on the premises, or pause at Verdi's for a coffee, a great location for a bit of people watching.

It's also one of the main launching spots for the various sailing boats, windsurfers and other watercraft you can see out in the bay. Or perhaps hire a stand-up paddle board from the SUP Hut, who have a rental unit located there during the summer holidays.

A walk to the Victorian Pier wouldn't be complete without a visit to the RNLI station, home to a Tamar class lifeboat. You could take a trip down memory lane and play on the slot-machines and the "Penny Fountains" in the Pier Amusements.

A walk up the steps from No.1 will take you up to Mumbles Hill Nature Reserve, worth an explore to see the remains of the WW2 gun batteries. You can also walk over and down the other side of the hill and join the Wales National Coastal Path.

Maybe have a bowl of pasta at Castellamare Italian Restaurant, before continuing your journey around the coastal path to the beautiful local beaches of Rotherslade, Langland and Caswell. Both Langland and Caswell are great for watersports, including surfing (Caswell is ideal for beginners due to its sandy beach and small waves), kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Remember to pack your tennis rackets and take advantage of the tennis courts at Langland Bay, situated behind the iconic green and white beach huts.

Visit one of the Surfside Cafes, located at the three bays, or book a table at Langland Brasserie. A great option for a meal out, with incredible views over Langland Bay. Choose a table on the large outdoor terrace or sit inside and enjoy the gorgeous beach-inspired decor.

Make sure you sample a pint of real ale at The Victoria Inn on Westbourne Place, pick up a portion of chips from family run Johnnies Chip Shop on Chapel Street and visit Boo's Kitchen for some gorgeous vegetarian and vegan treats.
