Our fully-equipped seaview studio is 20km W. of Cannes and adjacent to the Esterel hills. Ideal for relaxing, hiking, swimming in the sea, exploring nearby towns in Provence and the Cote d'Azur. Great restaurants and vino, cheese, olives, bread... :)
Spacious, light-filled studio contains all you will need for a carefree vacation in the south of France. The ever-changing Mediterranean monopolizes your view and soothes the soul. The wine doesn't hurt either! Plenty of parking, walking distance to many beaches, small grocery store, about 6 restaurants, local buses and the train station. Sensational hiking in the adjacent Esterel hills. Air-conditioned and heated for year-round comfojrt. We are in a hilly, residential neighbourhood with stunning views everywhere: around that corner, the snow-capped Alps; down that slope the villas of the mega-rich; over there, a ferry? No, it's a super-yacht. The majestic red rock hills provide views as far as St.Tropez and Cap d'Antibes on a clear day. Or, you can explore the rocky inlets in a sea-kayak rented at the local beach. It's all good.
And after all that exertion, the huge walk-in shower with rainhead is just what the doctor ordered, with warm towels from the heated towel bar. Aperitifs and nibbles on your own terrace, watching the sailboats and fishing boats do their thing, while listening to the cicadas or your own music using the IPod/IPhone port on the clock radio provided. Keep in touch with home with wifi and free phone to landlines in most places. Small safe in the closet.
Truly a little piece of heaven. A lovely drive to St. Tropez and wine country to the west or inland to interior Provence-Aix en Provence, Cassis, Nimes, Arles, Mougins, Vallauris, St.Paul de Vence. Nice and Monaco are an easy drive to the east and Italy is an hour away. This is the Riviera 'as it used to be'- quiet, yet very close to the glitz of Cannes and St. Tropez, if that is your thing. Golf is nearby- many courses within 30 min drive. And wineries, of course, abound.
It is preferable to have a car while vacationing here in the south of France- you can go where you want, when you want. The local train station is a 15 min walk away, the buses and store about a 10 min. walk. Our neighbours are about 50% french who live here year-round, 50% vacation homes.

This is a recent review by Tara, who didn't post her review within the 2 week deadline...'Just in case it doesn't post (I hadn't realised there was a time limit), here's our review, please use it as you wish! :)
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Le Trayas. We were looking for a totally relaxing break with beautiful scenery, restaurants and grocers (which sells everything you need including lovely croissants, pain au chocolate, rose, cheese, olives, glaces...) within walking distance and easy access to the gold coast trains - and that's exactly what we got! The studio is every bit as chic and contemporary as the photos indicate, and has everything you need. The views from the terrace are stunning and you can literally spend days reading in the sun (although its a lot of fun watching the yachts, water-skiers, jet skis etc speeding past on the Med too).
We would hire a car next time, just so we could make the most of the central location, but you don't need one if you just want a super lazy break with amazing views and are happy to wander up and down the hill (its so scenic that you'll love every minute). We would stay again in a heartbeat (typing this in chilly UK, Karin can we come back next week ; ) ?!
Karin & Richard were super fast in responding and answered my insane amount of questions patiently and informatively (thanks so much guys), hopefully we will meet them next time!
If you have chance to stay there don't hesitate, go for it... and hope you enjoy as much as we did.'
The property is smoke- and pet-free. The studio sleeps a maximum of 2 people and is unsuitable for children. A lockbox is provided for key storage. The damage deposit is refunded promptly by the host site, after inspection by us or our property manager. Shutters must be kept closed overnight and when away from the property. The main 'rule' is you must have at least as much fun, relaxation and enjoyment as we do when there!
"Welcome to our home! I will make sure that you feel comfortable and have a wonderful stay in the South of France. My wife and I are semi-retired and spend about half of the year here. We welcome our visitors and provide as much info/guidance as necessary and aperitifs when we are here. We are available by email or phone (free call from house phone) when we are back in Canada. We love the sea and the constant seaview from every room in the house soothes the soul. The hiking is amazing and there are all levels, from easy walks to strenuous uphills. Beaches and wineries abound. It is easy to while away the hours on the deck, reading, watching the ever-changing vista of the sea and enjoying the delicious bounty of Provence whether it be wine and cheese, or olives and pate...
