Rich untouched nature with fairy-tale looking woods, swamps, sea and a wide night sky filled with stars. There's an open-air sports centre 5 km away with lots of running tracks (which become cross-country skiing tracks at winter) in the middle of the wild woods, mini-golf, volleyball, beach-football, equipment can be rented at the place.
An horse riding stable nearby provides journeys in a nature with well-trained and safe horses. For further information, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Jõulumäe Tervisespordikeskus for sports and Keskküla Talu for horseback riding.
Unforgettable hiking-tracks for true nature lovers, also a wide selection of birds and wild animals can be seen, it's a bird-watchers and photographers dream.
A little village nearby (3 km away) offers some small shops for basic groceries. For bigger shopping and fun you can drive (with public transportation, bicycle or car) for 20 km to the summer-capital of Estonia - Pärnu. Pärnu is the most popular place in summer, with 40 000 inhabitants which double, or even triple in summer months. Long beachline with white pure sand, plenty of great restaurants, nightclubs, walking districts, shops and sights attract more and more visitors every summer. A city which looks like a silent dream in winter becomes a centre point of Estonia in May/June until August/September - that's where the life happens. In past years, huge amount of parks and sights have been renovated in Pärnu because of Hansaetic Days that took part few summers ago. The best idea on your first arrival in Pärnu is to rent a bicycle for 2 hours and go around all the city, ending up in a great restaurant named Steffani, which is really famous in all Baltic’s because of their tasteful pizzas. For breakfast or cakes, take your way to an extraordinary Supelsaksad cafe, or have a lovely lunch at Üks Kohvik next to the Pärnu bus station, which always serves the best quality with reasonable prices.
This house has been made with love, not for commercial purposes, also used by the owner for a summer vacation.
Minimum 3 nights stay is compulsory. Bring your own bed sheets and towels (or rent for 7 EUR per stay). The cabin is perfectly cleaned for you and you should return it similarly. Final cleaning is not included in the renting price, but is available for 55 EUR.
Pets are allowed, smoking is not allowed inside the house, but allowed outside.
Multiple family with kids (summer 2012):
The house is great and living there is very nice. If you have plenty of meat to grill, kids (or friends) to play with and enjoy being in the middle of seemingly knowwhere and walking in silence near the sea and woods it is a great place to be. Also, if you are with a car and bored with silence then going to Parnu is an option. I loved having a breakfast or supper and looking through a window to fields of wild grass waving in the wind. For the price offered it is hard to imagine where else you can find such place where 6 people can rather comfortably sleep over. Probably the biggest con is that the sea side does not have sand beach and it is swamp type of seashore, which looks wild and exciting, but not really suitable for playing beach volleyball, etc. (have to go to Pärnu).
Family with younger kids (summer 2012):
The cabin is situated in beautiful countryside. There are a few more cabins around but this one has the best view with no other cabins towards the sea view. The cabin is large and easily accommodate our family with two young boys. My cousin and his family stayed with us two nights and it was still no problem. The beds are comfortable enough. Although the best thing with them is when you wake up and see the great views. The water does have a certain smell, but that is probably because the water source is near the sea. In fact it smelled just like it did in the Maldives. Still, we always purchased water in bottles - that is easy enough, there is village a few kilometers away with a small supermarket and a kiosk. The shower had good power and there was always hot water. There is a wonderful BBQ cabin as well. We used it quite a few times. Not only you can BBQ there, if it is windy (or rainy) you can still BBQ and enjoy sitting "outside" in the cabin. Very cozy! The sea is about 200 meters away but you have to take the road and that is longer. Also, I didn't like the beach there for swimming. But there is a beautiful and very child friendly beach about 10 km from the cabin (that is half way to Pärnu). Pärnu itself has two great beaches, a long and wide one south of the river and then one north of the city. On the south one there is a water park that kids loved and on the north one there is an adventure park where you can climb trees, kids loved it again. All in all, the cabin is quite comfortable. It has an old fashion look but has a modern interior. There are neighbours but they are on such a distance that you still can experience absolute stillness and tranquility. Pärnu, a beautiful city is 20 km away, but since you most certainly have to a have car to get the cabin, then the beautiful road to Pärnu is a joy to ride. I am thinking to rent the cabin again.
Family with older kids (summer 2012):
The house is beautifully sited and close to the sea. Good for walks along the shore - for a beach experience you should drive some kilometers to the north. The house seems to be brand new and it is equipped very tastefully. We didn't miss anything. When looking outside the windows, you have the impression looking into perfectly arranged landscape paintings. One drawback I need to mention is the taste and smell of the local water supply - there is some unpleasant smell of hydrogen sulfide which is increased when the water is heated up.
Family with kids (summer 2013):
Everything was perfect! Quiet, great BBQ, everything was prepared wonderfully and worked very well. And the weather was also ideal, thanks for this combination :)
The space is all yours to have a private holiday with your loved ones. We might come over once in a while to do the lawn or maintenance, with a prior notice ofcourse.

We are more than happy to advise you about things to do nearby and in Pärnu and ofcourse about the best restaurants and hidden gems too. We also offer 24 hours support for the guests - if you have a problem, just call or send an e-mail and we'll be there for you to help out.
Minimum 2 nights stay is compulsory. Bring your own bed sheets and towels (or rent for 7 EUR per stay).
Pets are allowed, smoking is not allowed inside the house, but allowed outside.
We love dogs, but be careful with bringing unfriendly or very adventurous dogs, because neighbours have dogs, sheeps, gooses (150m away) and our fence is more like a decoration, it doesn't keep a dog in.
Furniture and equipment has to stay unbroken, othervise we are forced to charge for broken pieces.
Don't damage the nature nearby, don't leave trash in the nature.
No big parties and loud noise allowed, people nearby have come there to rest as well. Not available to rent for parties or by youngsters.

Summer 2017. On winter, we got lost to Australia again to escape the soggy Estonian winter - it used to be amazing with a LOT of snow when I was a kid, and before the climate change happened. But so sadly - not anymore. We'll be back in Estonia in April already, greeting the first spring-loving guests in May. As we're planning to stay this time, we've got some great ideas going how to make holiday easier and more fun for our guests. Like designing an informative booklet personalized for our guests about what to do around, also to get some great Estonian movies on a memory stick so you'd be able to feel the vibe of this country better.
There's also an early announcement to make - we just purchased another house which we're going to renovate and rent out over the summers - as it's such a dream house as well that we just can't keep it only to ourselves. The happiness is only real when shared. We're planning to get it going in 2018. Can't wait!

Summer 2016. Good news! Despite our previous plans to stay in NZ, we still decided to be back in Pärnu for the summer (as there's no better place to be) and open the doors of the Summerhouse for anyone who want's to book and have a nice vacation in a nature with a family or friends.

Summer 2015. The summer is magic. And mad. As always in Pärnu. We'll be working together with my boyfriend in housing AND also as bar managers in Pärnu. Takes a lot of time and brain-shells, so I'm glad we're two. We're heading to New Zealand for 1 year in September to work in different bars and travel, planning to travel back by Trans-Siberian railway - all the way on the rails from Singapore to Pärnu. So it's quite set that we can't host any guests for summer 2016, only the long-term one's. Tear. I've really enjoyed you all, so it makes me sad. At least I hope you'll all enjoy the summer 2015 to the max! Oh and don't forget to come to our bar as well - it's Üks Buss at Hommiku street 6!

Summer 2014. Here's a little update - after living and working in Australia for a year, traveling in Japan and spending 2 month as a volunteer in a spiritual retreat in Philippines, I'm back home! Ready to host my lovely guests for summer, and ready to dream about my next adventure abroad. But this summer, additional to the legendary summerhouse, we have a 1-room flat to offer for 2 nice travelers who'd love to feel the real summercity vibe of Pärnu.

Summer 2012. I would like to say that I'm a hippie deep inside who goes to a business school, loves freedom, creativity, challenges, sports, travelling and socializing. One of my little passions is arhitecture (and interior design). Walking around different cities all over the world and looking at the houses. Imagining how they look inside and what kind of people live in there is something I really enjoy. I'm mostly into houses with history or an x-factor which have the ability to "connect" with people passing by.
That's one of the reasons why I'm taking good care of some pieces of my parents real estate hand-picked with love. I spend a lot of time traveling from one furniture shop, website, market to another to find the things which feel "right" at the very first moment I see them and will look perfect in the places I'm taking care of. I can say that I'm buying a dream - a dream of the most perfect, cozy place in the world, able to give you the best feeling of all times - the feeling of how beautiful life and world actually are, on this exact moment.
This summer I'm renting out my own appartment in Tallinn as I currently live abroad, also an office space in the capital of Estonia for a wedding salon and as well a summer cottage which my family bought a year ago for personal use. As we have 3 cottages in Estonia already, we decided to rent this one out for a summer as we don't have so much spare time to use them all with full experience.
The income from renting will be used to support my travels around the world by backbag, starting from autumn 2012. To walk even more of thouse mysterious streets with inspiring houses...
By the way, if you want to go on a bicycle or walking tour in Pärnu or get some help or more information about anything, I'm more then happy to guide you/help you!
