This lovely Cycladic Villa will mesmerize you with its elegant simplicity.
Built in 2005, part of a 5-villa complex designed to ensure autonomy and privacy, the Villa has been under full renovation, just accomplished. It has been almost totally refurbished taking great care to maintain the look and feel of the traditional architecture of the island, whilst still providing modern creature comforts.
It is fully painted inside and outside, bathrooms and kitchen are renovated, playroom is transformed into a spacious master suite consisting of a bedroom and a living room, new built-in furniture is added (built-in sank in kitchen, built-in sinks in bathrooms, 3 built-in wardrobes, 2 built-in beauty desks, 3 new built-in bed with bedside tables), new mosquito nets and extra air-condition units are placed. Also a wooden pergola is designed for the back yard.
Housekeeping and guest management will be run by the same team and cleaning service upgraded.

Pouli means bird in Greek and the villa seems to be hanged in a rock hill floating the Aegean sky offering breathtaking 180 degree eagle’s eye of the Aegean as well as the unexploited terrain of Mykonos past, in a slope where a shepherd can be often seen leading his sheeps.

Strategically located, the villa faces west granting panoramic views of the sunset over the Aegean and the islands of Delos, Rhenia and Tinos while its southwestern position on the island provides easy access to the island's Chora and the nearby beaches and markets of Agios Ioannis and Ornos.
Allowing to enjoy the serene isolation that Golden Sunset Villa I offers while benefiting from the easy access, this area is one of the last ones on the island that are very quiet and tranquil and offer privacy and peace of mind while being still close to all the cosmopolitan spots that the island is very famous for. A 10 min drive will get you in the middle of everything in the famous socialite and vibrant life in the old town of Mykonos, a 5min drive to the glamorous beach and resort of Ornos and a 3min drive to the closest supermarket in Korfos just before Ornos. It is a hillside hideaway in a secluded nearly rural area although close to the town, where you can relax after a long day at the magnificent beaches of the island or a long night in the vivid nightlife. Carved on a hill, 150m from the coast, in an extraordinary setting framed by beautiful countryside, it blends uniquely in the rocky topography of its hillside, prime and unspoiled, setting.

Golden Sunset Villa I is kids’ friendly. A Chicco travel bed with normal mattress, baby bath and diaper changer pad are available. Special staircase security for children has been recently organized (URL HIDDEN) Two children folding safe doors, one in the staircase to the mezzanine and another one in the staircase to the lower level are placed. Also wooden material has been added to the staircase leading to the mezzanine.
There is no public transportation in the area so a rental car or motorcycle is a must to get to and from the villa. Also taxis are hard to find, especially during high season. The exact position of the villa if you are going to use taxi, is Ornos, Kato Diakoftis, Pouli. The villa is approx. 25 min walk (uphill and downhill) from Ornos where there is frequent bus service. But a rental car is recommended anyway to drive around and explore all the island has to offer, from the beaches during daytime to the famous nightlife. Private parking for two (or even three) cars is offered in the villa.

An official certificate licence from EOT has been issued by the Greek National Tourist Organisation with the registration nr MHTE (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), also called Eidiko Sima Leitourgias (ESL).
The Greek National Tourism Organisation has strict rules with reference to the suitability of each property, which ensures that guests are not renting second-rate accommodation during their stay in Greece. The license is designed to ensure that the holiday accommodation is of a sufficient standard and meets certain criteria regarding room sizes and safety. The EOT license is mandatory for all holiday accommodations.
The villa lies between the famous beaches of Ornos, Agios Ioannis and Kapari (our personal favourite close to the villa: blue-green waters, sand, few people), 3,5 km from Mykonos Town and the airport. It is located in an undeveloped hillside area of the residential area of Ornos.
Ornos town is considered as the second capital of Mykonos. The organized beach, luxurious hotels, restaurants, night life and a lot more make Ornos a beautiful town and one of the tourist's most preferable places to stay for their holidays in Mykonos. It is the best choice, both for budget and luxurious holidays. Ornos beach is among the most beautiful beaches of Mykonos. It faces the south, and thus it is protected from the strong northern winds, known as "meltemia". It's the nearest beach to the capital, with fine sand, sun chairs and umbrellas. Schools for diving, sea – skiing, wind surf and all water sports are also located on the beach. Various restaurants and bars are located along the shore. A daily boat service to other Mykonian beaches as well as excursions to the island of Delos are available from Ornos beach, which also provides a good anchorage for yachts. Apart from its socialite life Ornos has also a butcher's shop, a fish shop, super markets, bakeries, ATM machines, car rentals and pharmacy stores. It's just 5-8 min drive away from the buzz of popular Mykonos main town.
Villa Pouli unfolds in three levels giving a possibility of interior autonomy.
It has been designed to comfortably sleep 8 people and can accommodate up to 13 people in two single built-in sofa beds measuring 0,75X2,00m in the master suite and/or two single built-in sofas beds measuring 0,75X2,00 and/or a futon double sofa bed in the mezzanine.
The property is entered by the living room (middle level). Two marble steps going down, lead to the well equipped kitchen then further down two steps to two stairs both equipped with folding safeguard children doors: one leading to bedrooms, (lower level) and a wooden one leading to mezzanine (upper level).
LEVEL#1: 3 BEDROOMS & BATHROOM
MASTER SUITE (BEDROOM 1-ORANGE)
A generously spacious loft space to be converted into comfortable room with own living area. Separated in two spaces en suite it consists of king size bed, bedside tables, beauty desk, wardrobe (all built-in) in one space and built-in single beds (0,75X2,00m) and TV set in the other space. Can work as a living to the bedroom space or as an additional sleeping space. Ideal for families with small children. On one side it exits to the front yard with built-in sofa, protected for children yard and beautiful view to Tinos. On the other to a backyard patio(cour-anglaise) dominated by the smell of planted herbs.

On the other side (entrance) access to the beautiful upper back garden with another built-in sofa shaded by a pergola with bougainvillia and stunning view to Delos through a large rural unspoiled slope.

A wooden stair, with children safeguard folding door, leads to a discreetly divided bedroom that can confortably sleep 2 persons but can also acoomodate another one or two into a covertible to semi-double futon sofa bed.

The wonderfully structured outdoor area of the property, surrounded by rocky hills and Mediterranean herbs, can provide relaxation and recreation for a large number of guests, providing multilevel lounging and dining area. Multiple sitting areas in the front and backsides of the villa, to all which guests have access to, are designed, so that guests can break off into small groups and enjoy their own private space with a feeling of exterior independence enjoying panoramic sea and sunset views.
The main features include white plaster, local stone, natural rocks, built-in couches, and wooden pergolas intertwined with climbing bougainvillea and Cycladic arches. The villa is surrounded by specially designed areas paved with lush gardens: olive trees, bushes, shrubs, ornamental plants, and cacti among the rocks form beautiful landscapes, creating a particularly relaxing mood.
An array of three different spots to seat with three built-in sofas in the surrounding spaces is intended to offer independency:
Entering the property one can be amazed by the endless views, the small cacti and bushes in the leafy backyard garden that is totally unaffected of the north winds offering a shelter that permits lasting residence. You can have breakfast, coffee or light meal in the shaded and confortable built-in sofa under the wooden pergola intertwined with climbing bougainvillea watching nothing but fields in an unobstructed and extensive view to Delos or have a beverage at night enjoying the stars uninterrupted by any lightning around.
Reachable by the living room, the veranda is the perfect place to breakfast, sunbath, read, drink a cold beverage, watch the ever changing sunsets, dinner under the stars in the built-in table or simply be transfixed by the ultimate views. Also sheltered by the north, with built-in windows in half of the veranda and shaded by a wooden pergola it is a perfect retreat from the midday sun that can sit up 10 to 12 people in a confortable built-in sofa, a bench and armchairs. Wonderful views to Tinos and Rineia. Barbecue, confortable sunbeds and chaise longues are also available. Relax and enjoy the Aegean.
Reachable by the master suite from a large French window, the front yard is a stone terraced area, perfectly protected, especially for children, yard that can become totally enclosed. Located under the veranda, it is also sheltered by north winds through a built-in window and offers a confortable seating area with a built-in sofa, a large table and armchairs. It is dotted with Mediterranean plants and trees, especially a fig tree full in August. The outdoor shower embraces the true spirit of summer life.

Also reachable by the master suite this small patio with a plaster floor, enlighten by the upper back yard is an intimate corner of architectural interest where one can have a cigarette and enjoy the smell of planted herbs.

-Smoking allowed. We kindly ask Guests to protect white bedspreads, pillows and sofas and keep windows open when smoking
-We kindly ask guests to respect neighbours and not disturb them in quiet hours from 3pm-5pm and after midnight.
-Tap water is not drinkable Due to water shortage on the island, guests must be extra careful with the use of water.
-Kindly take care of energy consumption. Energy costs are considerably elevated in our country; also, the island runs the risk of black out by electricity overconsumption, and last but not least kindly consider your contribution to climate change. Thus, do not forget the outside lights on during daytime, or all lights on when not in the house. Even more important, do not forget air-conditioners on; a/c energy consumption is significantly higher, not to mention the damage done to the devices. Also please switch on boiler for 10' for hot water and switch off during shower.
- Please, close all windows and doors properly when windy.
-In calm weather, use window screens to keep mosquitoes out of indoor areas.
- All guests are advised to secure all their belongings at all times and always lock all the doors and windows when leaving the villa or sleeping.
-Do not flush anything in the toilet, including toilet paper.
-If during your occupancy the number of guests staying is to exceed the number booked, prior approval should be given by management.
-We kindly ask you not to take the bath towels with you to the beach. Bath towels are provided to you.
- A detailed guideline to the villa and machines will be given to you upon arrival. In case of a maintenance problem while onsite, we will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible after receiving notification.
