i stayed at naomi's apartment from may 24 to jun 21 2017. naomi contacted me about a week in advance which i appreciated. i'm amazed that so many hosts wait till the last minute to do this. naomi arrived on time for our meeting and showed me around. the apartment was clean when i arrived. it is located on the 8th floor overlooking the courtyard. there a two elevators.
there is a walk in closet with drawers, shelves, hangers, an iron, ironing board, extra pillows, sheets, bath towels, an umbrella and a vacuum cleaner. there is a large bed that is very comfortable.
the kitchen area was recently renovated. the new electric range with oven and rangehood has an amazing convection bake setting that reheats pizza beautifully. a new mid-size refrigerator with freezer compartment and a microwave oven are located just outside the kitchen area next to the sofa. there is a small table with two chairs and a desk lamp that's suitable for working on a laptop or having a meal. though it was not mentioned in the listing description there is a television with basic cable and a newly installed air conditioner that also provides heat. the shower has strong water pressure with unlimited hot water. there are laundry rooms with washer and dryer (4.00 cad) located one floor up and another one two floors down. saint catherine street is one long block away. it's a 5 minute walk to the guy concordia metro station (green line) and about a 8 minute walk to the lucien l'allier metro station (orange line) and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel on rene levesque blvd for several bus routes.
the hotel is not fancy but very well maintained by numerous service personnel who were always friendly and professional. there is a restaurant adjacent to the lobby but i never got around to trying it and i heard there's even a swimming pool. i really enjoy the whole "hotel atmosphere". hotels feel safe to me. this is one of the few airbnbs i would return to. i think naomi was a wonderful host. always cheerful, always reasonable, always positive. i always appreciate that.
