Dear Jessica ,
Thanks for your review but just to avoid misunderstanding i wish to clarify once more about the matter.
As already informed, before and during your stay, i can assure that house rules are clearly indicated in the apartment profile and anything different has been asked .
Reading what you wrote , surely you just have not read any information of the house .
As already told you , placing a booking , you must pay the right attention to every information and when it is asked to indicate number of persons for the reservation you do not have to do it randomly .
If you book for 1 person you don't be allowed to consider reservation for 2, 3 or 4 people. And if you modify guests' number also rates will be increased consequentely .
Moreover, placing a reservation in airbnb there is no way to go wrong : it is always asked number of persons and dates . In such a way you can see the exact and total price of the stay .
Furthermore, either the apartment rates ( depending on number of persons) or the tourist tax imposed by local governement (€2 per person per night ) are also indicated in Airbnb where you can read : Rate of €25 is requested per nignt and per each additional guest over the first .
And for this reason two additional guests for two nights had been consequently charged to you . You don' have to be surprised because you were informed as by correspondence exchange and messages.
And about the tourist tax you had to pay 16€ totally, rather you have been asked to pay 8 euros . Maybe you could not appreciate it but I integrated the difference for you discounting it from the cost of the apartment . Now I wonder if I would do better not to do it.
Anyway , hopefully this has taught you to be more careful placing a reservation informing about details and rules imposed by the host .
all my best
