My spare room in the heart of Soho beckons to the discerning traveler. Five minutes or less to nearly every subway line, your spacious room has a 10 foot wide bay window peering out on one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Manhattan.
The space is designed for a person who not only needs an oasis from the city, but enjoys having their own space to think, read, or perhaps write a novel.
The room is outfitted with lots of leather, real wood floors, books, and a piano in case you find inspiration in playing some melodies. The daybed is a very comfortable high-end memory foam mattress, and the room has it's own central A/C unit.
Room layout is flexible. As the apartment has plenty of space, I can move things out of your room upon request (e.g. piano, desk).
The wall is lofted as you can see in photos-- it doesn't go all the way to the ceiling-- but you have complete privacy and a door that shuts.
In addition to the room itself, the guest has access to living room/ dining room, kitchen, washing machine in apartment (rare for New York!) There is one bathroom which is shared with myself.
I don't have a TV in the apartment-- but feel free to unwind after a busy New York day by watching a movie on the projector (with Netflix, AppleTV).
It is an elevator building-- so don't worry if you have heavy luggage.

I tend to work long hours, so most of the time as a guest you have the space to yourself and I encourage you to make yourself at home.
I do like sharing the occasional meal/ drink in the evenings and love to hear stories from fellow travelers.
-The room can accommodate 2 guests however it may not be ideal for couples.
-The bed is a standard twin bed and is ideal for one person.
-For a second person, I have an additional high quality single mattress which I can place on the floor.
Pet-free (building rules unfortunately) and
no smoking, please.
