Space & Design
El Faro, is an ideal place to spend a vacation with your partner, or even between very close friends. Each one of its spaces, and corners have been redesigned to serve the occupants demands both in comfort and functionality. Its refurbishment could be summarized in the original current Canarian Architectural design , where materials like wood and stone are present , and kindly blended with delicate touches of glass and stainless steel.
Reflecting a sober style of inmaculate simplicity, and remaining very loyal to its monolitical structure of 140 years ago ; El Faro offers a set of exclusively designed furniture which was especially built for the house.
Distribution & Equipment
Its distribution offers a modern kitchen made in stainless steel featuring an antique stone wall, a bathroom with a shower, decorated with natural elements collected in area nearby the house. A bedroom with an ocean view, an entrance hall with a small ensuite dressing room, a reading and t.v lounge, a sitting room and dinning room overlooking the sea, a sundeck area, small garden and terrace, that benefit from an ocean view of 180º.
From the terrace you can see the old fishermans town of “ Las Aguas”, and looking in the other direction you can contemplate the magnificent mountains of the nothern part of the island.
Location & Environment
One of the most outsatnding features of El Faro is, its peace and quiet. This is a gift which relates to its previledged location. El Faro lies on the border of a cliff overlooking the ocean at 45 m above sea level. The site is accesible via an ancient path used back in time, to connect all the small coast villages . Although this might be an inconvenience for some people, for others this ensures the benefit of enjoying serenity in an oasis, where senses merge with nature taking you to a place where peace and calm are a way of life
In summer there are small jazz festivals in one of the largest mansions with international musicians and short film screenings. Outdoor events like these are also held at the beach of El Socorro.
The Realejos has many young jazz musicians indeed, and also large groups of para-gliders. The area boasts many factors that make this an idyllic setting for flights, due to wide range of high mountains, cliffs and very favorable weather conditions to practice this exciting sport. The estate of Los Príncipes with its vast plains and the beach of El Socorro, serve as runways for these gliders. Tandem Flight with professional pilots, are becoming more and more fashionable.
Food & Leisure
Very close to El Faro, about 15 minutes drive to the east, you will find the famous tourist town of El Puerto de la Cruz, which consists of several beaches, gastronomy, historic center, cinemas and nightlife. Further east around 20 minutes drive from the lighthouse you will get to the village of Santa Ursula with a very original gastronomy, offering the most typical food restaurants and “Los Guachinches”, which are literally local garages equipped to sell local wine and some local dishes to accompany. These are usually very cheap. The trails in the mountains of this town are the most green in the north of the island.
"Isla Baja" & Golf
To the west, about 30 minutes by car, you will find Garachico being one of the most emblematic villages north of the island located in the so-called Isla Baja. The old town with its prestigious rural Canarian architecture and the natural pools with local restaurants for fresh fish are the elements to highlight. Slightly towards the west you would come to Buenavista del Norte, where you can play golf at one of the most beautiful golf courses of the island.

I´m an architect and I am into well designed things & spaces. I´m enthusiastic about good and simple ideas, but smart solutions.
I´m also a Global Nomad, and when I travel, I´m rather into experiencing a chunk of local people´s lifes, then visiting all the famous touristic sites or museums. I´m very much into gastronomy, so that would be a starting point for me, from where to get to explore a new place or country and get to know the local people´s lifestyle.
I love big cities as much as I´m into the country site or a lonely beach. I recently started running the 7eptember Agency, which stands for my values and vision of where and how to stay on a trip.
It will be my pleasure to share this values with you by hosting you on your next trip!
