I am sorry that you had a bad experience. As you can see from my hundreds of positive reviews, your experience is not typical. As I mentioned in my review, I do not think that Airbnb is a good way for you to travel and would encourage you to use more traditional lodging that does not mean shared spaces with other guests given your allergies etc. I am also sorry that you did not notice things that were important to you in the listing such as the presence of an animal/ street parking etc. I did make you aware of many of the things that you missed in the listing with my welcome letter as well...but maybe you did not have a chance to read that. I know that I would have appreciated you telling me about issues you had when you experienced them so I could help problems solve (e.g. no space in the frig etc); instead of telling me that everything was good. No host likes to be blind sided and they want you to be happy! That is the whole point afterall.
As I told you, I was not home during your stay due to summer vacation/work conference so I had a maid service clean my home and do the airbnb turnover. So the house was professionally clean while I was gone those 2 weeks. I do not have control over how the other guests are enjoying the space. This is part of sharing space with other guests. You may not be able to cook dinner exactly when you want. Or take a shower exactly when you want. But in my experience, my guests are awesome...really good people. fun to be around and chat with while you are waiting your turn.
I thought about removing this review based on its inaccuracies/false statements but opted to keep in it. My other guest reviews speak for themselves and I do not have anything to hide.
