Our spacious bedroom has a brand-new bed in a clean and sunny apartment. On a quiet street, we're just a 5 minute walk from beautiful Westpark and city trains and one train stop away from the Oktoberfest grounds. A relaxing haven after touring lovely Munich!
Guests, please fill out your profile and tell me about yourself (and travelling companion, if applicable)!
In our apartment in Munich, my husband Raul and I have a spacious second bedroom to offer guests. The bedroom is alone at one end of the apartment, so you have the most private space available. We've just furnished it with a new bed, new comfortable mattress, and new down quilts. There is lots of natural light and fresh air in the apartment, and we keep a very clean home so that you can relax on your visit to our lovely city.
Munich doesn't have the famous draws that cities like Rome or Paris do. Rather than doing a whirlwind visit of the top tourist attractions, it's more rewarding to relax for several days, enjoy the outdoors, cycle or hike nearby (the Alps are just an hour or two south by train), visit museums, parks, and palaces, or simply indulge in Bavarian food and drink. Welcome to Munich!
We have a shared bathroom, kitchen, and living space for guest use. The bathroom has shower, bath, toilet, and washing machine. Towels and bedding are provided. You are welcome to leave a few things in the refrigerator and to prepare small meals, but as I do a lot of cooking and baking, I prefer that we not be getting in each other's way making extensive meals. We have a pretty extensive collection of boardgames, and you're welcome to enjoy them in your free time.

I grew up in a rural town in the heart of the United States, but I loved to travel from a young age. I finished my Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures, and when my husband found a job in Munich a few years ago, we decided to spend some time in lovely Bavaria, as it had long been our desire to live in Europe. Besides reading medieval literature, my research area, I like to play piano, bake, and watch Star Trek in my spare time. My husband Raul and I love to travel, to hike in the nearby Bavarian Alps and the American National Parks, and to cycle everywhere.
We've had great experiences as both guests and hosts through Airbnb for many years, and we look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Munich!
