" A bathroom, shared by the bedrooms, has a shower over the bath, basin and wc.

The layout is probably best suited to a family.
The rest of the house consists of a large kitchen/dining room on the bottom floor, which opens out onto the garden, which is exceptionally large for central London and lovely in the spring and summer. Sally can provide breakfast if wanted. Guests are welcome to share our fridge in the kitchen for milk and fruit and to make themselves drinks and use the garden.
The ground floor consists of our very large sitting room and entrance hall. Our bedroom, bathroom and Sally’s studio is on the second floor.
The Chase is one of the best known streets in Clapham, which is now a very fashionable area. It is just a two-minute walk from Clapham Common, a large green park at the end of our street.
We are in our sixties and our children have left home now to bring up their own families. Although at this time we are only advertising for the period around the Olympic Games, we are very used to, and enjoy, hosting. We always have one or more singers to stay during the Garsington opera season, and others come and stay on an occasional basis.
Tim is hoping to be chosen as a volunteer for the Games, and will be able to give advice on how to get to all the venues. The house is well situated for public transport to all the London venues. It is a five minute walk to Clapham Common tube station (Northern Line), from which it will take 40 minutes to the Olympic Park in Stratford, 40 minutes to Greenwich (equestrian events), 30 minutes to Lords (archery), 25 minutes to Hyde Park (triathlon), 25 minutes to Horse Guards Parade (beach volleyball). The rowing is west of London near Windsor; you would need to take an Olympics coach to get there. The house is very convenient for the West End (15 minutes) for shopping, theatre, the historic sites - all the reasons for which people normally come to visit London.
There is no need to go to the West End for evening entertainment. Clapham has a wide array of restaurants and eating places in all price ranges, many pubs, an excellent cinema – in fact, people come to Clapham for their night out.
Breakfast, full English or Continental, can be provided at modest extra cost. No smoking in the house, acceptable in the garden. Use of the garden fine. Occasional use of the kitchen for an evening meal.
