Your private living space is comfortable and bright, with lots of picturesque windows and high ceilings. There is a walkout to a private area where you can relax, and unwind, enjoying the sounds of nature and some farm animals, such as horses, minis, donkeys, goats, chickens, cats, 2 Australian cattle dogs and even a pig.
We love our animals and we welcome yours as we are a pet friendly farm. Please note DOGS MUST be on a leash when on the property.

Prostor
Our property is a peaceful and beautiful place, other than the sound of birds, roosters or donkeys, it's pretty quiet.

Guests are welcome to visit with the animals. We always love doing an animal tour. You are also welcome to explore our trails out back, whether it’s a walk, jog, bike ride (lots of hills) or even snowshoeing.

Depending on the season, there’s lots to see and do in the area. From hiking, to mountain biking, snowshoeing, downhill and cross country skiing, sightseeing and lots of shopping, eateries and wineries. Within a short driving distance there are a number of small towns which host a variety of shops, bakeries, restaurants, beaches and more.

It's always a combination of excitement, and relaxation when guests turn in the driveway. Never really sure who is more excited though, the adults, the kids or the dog lol.

There is just something magical about living in the country. This is our little piece of paradise that we love sharing with our guests.

You can do as much or as little as you want while you are here, whether it's reading that novel you have been meaning to do for sometime or exploring the surrounding trails or nearby waterfalls. Fortunately we have the little town of Markdale that's only a 10 minute drive if you happened to forget something. Plus, there's also lots of other small towns within minutes with lots to offer.

Hi there, we are loving being hosts with Airbnb. We love our property and our animals and thought why not share it with others. We love this area though we do spend a lot of time at home lol. We keep saying we need to get out and do some exploring but it’s hard to leave this little piece of paradise.

After serving 35 years with the RCMP, hubby John enjoys his retired days as Firefly Ridges own farm hand. Along with helping out around the farm I also work part time as an esthetician and grief coach.

Our newest venture is beekeeping! Well, it's John's new hobby really, I like taking the pictures lol and eating the liquid gold! We’ve gone from 50 lbs of honey our first year, around 300 lbs last year, and this year 2022 we might hit the 700-800 lb mark woohoo! So exciting snd fascinating at the same time!

Always something to see and do around the farm that's for sure.
